Pentecost

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:32-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Peter, now filled with the Holy Spirit, gave a resounding reply to the mockers & bystanders who witnessed the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.  As the disciples prayed with one accord in one place, the Holy Spirit came. Even today, when all the Blood-bought disciples, in one accord pray, Pentecost happens.  This season, all people of this planet have endured lockdown.  But when all the disciples pray in one accord, we are confident that the Holy Spirit does what He did then.  Let’s expect that as we, the disciples pray, that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.  Let’s expect a great deliverance & see with joy what the Holy Spirit is doing!  Hallelujah!

God’s Spirit in Us

“And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:27‬ ‭KJV
The Lord Jesus said that it was expedient that He went for then only the Holy Spirit would come down from heaven. Ezekiel’s prophecy could only be fulfilled through the death and resurrection when Jesus gave Himself for mankind and was resurrected by the Eternal Spirit.  The Holy Spirit came in such power on the followers of the Lord Jesus that it caused them to walk in the statutes & judgments of El Shaddai Yahweh.  The Holy Spirit comes to empower every follower of the Lord Jesus Christ who has acknowledged the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.  The Holy Spirit comes to make us like Jesus.  Let’s desire to be empowered only by the Holy Spirit.  The shed Blood of Jesus made it possible.  Thank You Jesus!

Glory resting on Us

“If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Let’s remember that when we are scorned for exalting the Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on us. This kind of persecution is to come on all who are Christ’s.  In the secular society that we live in, only the Holy Spirit’s Presence in us gives us the guts to witness for the Lord Jesus.  Sometimes, we face it in our own family.  The secular world may think we’re nuts, but we rejoice because the glory of God is on us.  We carry the glory of God wherever we go.  Isn’t it awesome that in the old covenant, God would not share His glory but now because of Jesus’s resurrection, the Holy Spirit has come to rest the glory of God on us.  Let’s bow and adore our great and wonderful Jesus.  Thank You, Holy Spirit!

The Church & the Victory of the Cross

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Whenever the enemy comes to attack the Church, the people of God, the Holy Spirit raises the standard against the enemy because greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world. Only if our mind is stayed on Jesus and the finished work of the Cross, then can we have the peace that allows the Holy Spirit to raise the standard against the enemy.  Let’s train ourselves to be meditating on a personal level, what Jesus won for me at the Cross when He forever defeated the enemy.  Then the Holy Spirit raises the standard that stops the enemy in his tracks.  The standard of the Holy Spirit is the proclamation of the victory of the Cross!  Hallelujah!

By His Spirit

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
How do we know that the Holy Spirit dwells in us? By loving one another like Jesus does! When we reach out to one another; build one another up; are sacrificial with our time, care, consideration, talents, giftings, money; pray for one another; stand in the gap for one another..that’s how we love one another.  This is how we know that the Holy Spirit is in us.  It’s the power of love that dwells in us and destroys the enemy! And this power is in us by the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and flowing through us to others.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for shedding abroad Your love in our hearts to love like Jesus does!

The Spirit’s Empowerment

“And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭11:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When the children of Israel complained bitterly to Moses for food he poured his weariness to the Lord that he couldn’t take them through the wilderness into the Promised Land.  Then God anointed seventy elders with the Holy Spirit empowering them to help Moses but some were jealous on behalf of Moses.  So Moses said he wished that all God’s people were empowered by the Holy Spirit to do what God wanted them too.  Today the same Holy Spirit is available to us as God’s people, to fulfill His purpose here on this earth as it is in heaven.  Let’s thank Jesus for Pentecost when His precious Holy Spirit was given to all God’s people!  By Jesus’s ascension the Holy Spirit descended on us!  Thank You Father!

Quickened with God’s Life

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:50‬ ‭KJV‬‬
In the kingdom of God flesh & blood has no place. The Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us to crucify our flesh because when we walk in the Spirit we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Jesus told us that His Words are spirit & life.  So when we live according to the Word & the Word abides in us, we are being quickened by the Holy Spirit with God’s Life.  Only the Holy Spirit mortifies our flesh to live in the Spirit as we cooperate with Him.  Thus we inherit incorruption right here on earth! How great is our God.  Let’s live our life surrendered to the Holy Spirit.

Only Jesus

“Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭30:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
No one knows who Agur the son of Jakeh was but to this unknown person was given the revelation of the Creator of all creation, El Shaddai Yahweh and of Yeshua HaMashiach, of the coming Lord Jesus Who descended from heaven to save and Who ascended in victory conquering sin, death & hell.  May this revelation come to the millions of hopeless, depressed, hungry and perishing people especially in India.  Such unknown people who for centuries have been deprived of dignity going by being called their caste name or outcasts, scheduled castes, Dalits, migrant labourers - so many names - but now need the Lord Jesus more than ever.  Let’s cry out to our Father, for the salvation of all these people in our land because Jesus died for them all and ascended on high and led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men!

The Foundation that stays the Test of Fire

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:11-13 KJV‬‬
The foundation of our salvation is Jesus Christ.  For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  So first the foundation, and then the ordained good works in Christ Jesus.  If we are doing good works which we think are good based upon our effort, it won’t stand the test of fire.  Ministries and churches that are based on human effort, ego, money, etc. are not going to stand the trial by fire. The motives and deep intents of the heart will be brought into the open.  Unless the Holy Spirit is leading our ministry, we won’t bear fruit.  Such a ministry will be fruitful for the kingdom of God.  Let’s reveal the inner motives of our hearts to God, so that our works have results and we shine in the fire of affliction with the glory of God like Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego!

Decreeing what God Promised

“I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He is the living God & steadfast forever, said the heathen king of the God of Daniel, while making a decree for all his subjects to acknowledge Daniel’s God.  May it be that our neighbours and friends who don’t know Jesus, would see the Lord Jesus in us as we pray for astonishing miracles for them and they see the result.  Our God is faithful & steadfast & expects us to be supernatural like He is. So that when we pray, that whole place is shaken with the power of God.  Let’s believe in the victory of the Cross & be steadfast in believing in the Blood of the everlasting covenant that the Lord Jesus has made with us.  Whatever we ask in Jesus’s Name, He said He will do.  Let’s get out of our comfort zone & step out in faith to believe God for the impossible. Let’s get excited to show the world Who our God is!  Hallelujah!

The Behaviour of the Elect of God

“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
As an elect of God, holy and beloved, we are a new creature walking in newness of life.  Our new attire of being in Christ, is compassion & mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, patience, not getting angry & impatient with people, not quarrelsome but forgiving, and being loving. Mercy is connected with our intestines and humbleness with the mind!  It’s quite a checklist - and if we are not able to put on these effectively, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us.  This is important - because we tend to be in condemnation when we fail.  But the qualification of being in Christ is the Blood of Jesus Christ that as we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with each other and the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses is from every sin. How glorious is our Lord! Let’s put on our new attire today!

A Listening Heart

“But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.””
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1:33‬ ‭
To hear and listen to God is a precious gift God has given to mankind.  The angels in heaven, who behold God, listen & do what God says. To us who are redeemed by the Lord Jesus, God has chosen to dwell in our hearts and speaks to us. May we train ourselves to listen to Him and do what He says. The Holy Spirit helps us to abide in the Word of God and to listen to Him speaking to us. Let’s each one of us hear God, listen and do what He says.  Then we dwell safely and are secure without fear of evil. Let’s have that listening heart which hears our God speaking to us on a personal level, and experience His perfect love which casts out all fear.

True Knowledge

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬
We live in times when knowledge and information are available at the tip of our fingers....we can google any information!  People vie with others to be the first to know and to pass it on further!  After being so knowledgeable and well informed we still lack peace!  We’re quick to say, “by the grace of God” when we talk about a personal issue.  Grace and peace are multiplied to us through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  Grace is available in a limitless measure when we proclaim our Lord Jesus Christ.  Let’s get hungry for the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord and be the first to pass on to others the revelation we receive from Him.  Grace and peace is multiplied to us immeasurably and we experience the love of God in reality.

Kneeling to Worship our Maker

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭95:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
To kneel before the Lord our Maker is the direct response in Scripture.  Although Jesus looked an ordinary Man while on earth, when people came to Him, they knelt and asked Him...the man with a lunatic son, the lepers, people who wanted to ask Him for something, usually in crowds...they knelt before Him.  Today, we find it difficult to kneel before Him...it may be bodily health, air conditioned comfort, our attitude of not needing to kneel before Him in the new covenant, or wondering what people will say or think if we did kneel.  When we worship led by the Holy Spirit, we bow before Jesus, our Lord & Maker.  Let’s come before Him and kneel, physically and even in our attitude.  Jesus is worthy of our worship, spirit, soul and body.

Being Sincere & Without Offence

“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Really amazing that Paul wrote this from a prison where he was in total lockdown!  To see around us things that are excellent & not be critical, judgmental & negative requires a sincere change of mind.  In Bible language this means we repent.  This only happens when we come to the Cross! If the Cross is an offence to us, we won’t be able to approve of things that are excellent. It is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that when we have a change of mind, He provides the change of heart and we approve of things that are excellent and are sincere and without offence....only Jesus can do that!  Let’s start seeing things through the eyes of Jesus & approving things that are excellent so that we are sincere and without offence till the day of Christ....lockdown or no lockdown!

Worship brings Victory

“And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Before any battle in God’s kingdom, comes praise & worship.  To worship God in the beauty of His holiness, requires a complete surrender. That’s what Jehoshaphat learned when he appointed the Levites to praise & worship & go before the army into battle.  Leading worship is not a performance but an act of trusting Jesus in the midst of tensions & stress, not only for yourself but for the whole assembly of God’s people gathered together.  The Holy Spirit helps us do that. We can only take His help when we meditate on the great victory Jesus won on the Cross when He surrendered Himself completely to the Father.  Our battles are won when we thank, praise & worship in the beauty of God’s holiness before we go into warfare.  Let’s be mighty warrior worshippers that will defeat every attack of the enemy, simply because Jesus already won it for us! Praise be to the Most High!

God of Hope

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Hope has come to the Gentiles through the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ...the Jews didn’t receive Him and if they had, would not have shared Him with us who are from the Gentile background!  Hope is the confident expectation of God’s goodness to us, first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles.  The greatest need in this world is for hope. Most people think of hope as wishful thinking but for us, it is our trust of expecting good to happen to us because Jesus conquered sin, death and hell for us at the Cross and gave us Resurrection Life instead.  This brings us joy and peace in believing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let’s bring hope wherever we go!

Strength in Quietness & Confidence

“For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:15‬ ‭KJV
The Israelites were insisting on getting help from Egypt even as God warned them not to turn to that world power of ancient times!  There real strength was the quietness & confidence in the Lord! Our real strength of quietness & confidence is the sacrifice of the Lamb of God on the Cross of Calvary.  We instead put our trust in the world system and in the world powers of today, in man and in princes.  God is saying to us that He has made us partakers of Christ and to keep our confidence in the finished work of the Cross steadfast to the end. We can never suffer from dearth and disease when Jesus is our confidence, and Christ is our sufficiency.  Let’s make this real in our lives that Christ is our sufficiency.....the Holy Spirit helps us do that as we willingly partake of Christ.

The Kingdom that cannot be Moved

“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Which kingdom do we belong to? The one that is shaken or the one that cannot be moved? Let’s walk in the abounding grace in the kingdom that cannot be moved, serving God acceptably and with reverence and godly fear. Let’s not fear the pestilence or plague, sickness or disease, lack, depression, hopelessness & any other ill that is besetting the society today.  Let’s pray for one another and from the simple, uneducated worker walking miles away from shelter, to those who have rule and authority over us. Let’s pray for the power of the Gospel to be revealed to them. Let the Lord Jesus Christ be real to us so we can share Him with our neighbours with conviction. That’s how we serve God acceptably being from the kingdom that cannot be moved.

Be Bold to Ask

“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
The psalmist is praising God for the glory of His creation which is mankind. God has made mankind to have dominion over everything He has created in the planet earth to govern with compassion and responsibility.  God has given mankind to discover and invent new things on earth.
The US oceanographer,
Matthew Fontaine Maury, discovered currents in the ocean through meditating on the Word of God, the above psalm - “....whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.”
God has given the Body of Christ the ability to discover & invent new things to benefit mankind.  Let’s pray for great research breakthroughs, discoveries and inventions in every field, to benefit mankind.  Only because, through the Cross we have received the Mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and knowledge just for the asking!  Let’s be bold to ask.

Seeing the Supernatural

“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Isaiah was lamenting at his prophecy of what devastation was to come upon Judah because its rulers were steeped in idolatry and witchcraft. Yet he saw what God had prepared for those who waited on the Lord, loved and obeyed Him! Let’s continue to worship the Lord Jesus and wait on Him expectantly so that He will use us in mighty ways to proclaim His glory for we have tasted the good Word of God & the powers of the world to come!

Only Believe

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬
As we come across information on many people who are critical or nearing death, especially in the Body of Christ, we can come into thinking like the world...discouragement & maybe our hearts fail within us.  Jesus’s answer to the ruler of the synagogue when he received information that his daughter had died, was to say, “only believe”!  It’s time we, Jesus’s Body, raise ourself to what Jesus said, and only believe...we are commanded to raise the dead to life...may we not shrink back from believing in the resurrection power Jesus has given us and speak it forth confidently. It’s the law of the Spirit of Life.

Serve with a Perfect Heart

“And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.”
‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭28:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Here was David introducing Solomon to be king after him, telling him to serve God with a perfect heart since God searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the heart.  Thank God for the Holy Spirit Who bears with us even in the deepest thoughts & imaginations of our hearts, nothing is hidden from Him, not even our inner motives.  He makes our hearts perfect as we make ourselves transparent before Him in our relationship with Him.  He never condemns us but brings us to conviction of walking in His way.  Sometimes we feel we may have gone off track but like the Shepherd Who left the ninety nine to retrieve that one off track sheep, He comes after us & restores us. We honour Him for restoring our hearts to be made perfect to serve Him.  Be therefore perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect!

Escape the Corruption

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? He has given us His divine power.  Through His divine power, He has called us to glory & virtue.  And if that’s not enough, He has given us His exceeding great & precious promises to partake of His divine nature.  It is making me awed with wonder and reverence!  To stand on His promises enables us to escape the corruption in this world through lust.  What a glorious God we serve....we bow & kiss Your Feet, Lord Jesus in humble adoration.  Amen!

Wisdom & Worship

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Wisdom is the principle thing and we can ask God for it & He gives liberally! Wisdom from God is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. Wisdom comes to us from above when we worship our God in reverence and awe of what He has done for us personally.  Understanding is received when we dwell and meditate upon the finished work of the Cross of Jesus.  this knowledge of the holy on a personal level brings understanding.  Jesus had to open His disciples understanding of the Scripture after He was resurrected. This is true for all His disciples till today.  Let’s ask the Lord for true wisdom & understanding today.

Receive with Meekness

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s worth noting that to save our souls, it is only the Word of God that can be engrafted in us when received with meekness.  To trivialise the Word in any form, even in humour, is the way not to receive with meekness.  Meekness is submitting.  When we submit to the Word of God, it means we are receiving it with meekness. Submitting means to quietly and with trust, obey and do what the Word of God says. Not to justify ourselves, nor to argue or discuss it....just quietly being a doer of the Word.
The Word was meek to become flesh & dwell among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace & truth.  He humbled Himself to become obedient even unto death so that God has highly exalted Him & given Him a Name above every name.  He has given us His Word to receive it with meekness and be engrafted in us.  Glory to Jesus!

Abounding Grace

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
It is the grace of God that teaches us to deny ungodliness & worldly lusts, by His Holy Spirit, available to all mankind for salvation.  It is the grace of God, by His Holy Spirit that helps us live soberly, righteously & godly in this present world. It is the grace of God by His Holy Spirit that prepares us for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God & our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is the grace of God by His Holy Spirit that marked us with the Blood of Jesus so we can enjoy all grace abounding towards us & have all sufficiency in all things abounding to every good work. Glory! Hallelujah!

Choose Life

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God’s great gift to mankind....the power of choice...the free will each human has, is a gift of God.  In these lockdown times, we appreciate the power of choice!
Do we choose to live in sickness, disease, poverty and lack, unforgiveness and grudges, choosing to think negatively about others’ personalities, condemning people, circumstances and situations, the government and its leaders, of our own nation and other nations? We are actually choosing death and curses!
Let’s choose life and blessings....be blessed and be a blessing to others.  It’s our choice, our free will....God’s nature is that He will never force us.
God made a free choice to give us Life through His death & resurrection.
Let’s choose Life and make Jesus our free will choice and nail death & curses to the Cross of Jesus.....what a Victory!

The Goodness of God

“Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭31:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As we discipline ourselves to continue to see the goodness of our God in the midst of troubles, our hearts are filled with gratitude & thanksgiving. The greatest goodness of our Lord is the Cross of Jesus from where flows to us the riches of His goodness, grace & glory in abundance and our cup overflows. The reason why we aren’t able to manifest this is because our heart sees the works of the devil and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Let the goodness of the Lord lead us to repentance as we sing with thanksgiving and a heart of praise for the great goodness our God has shown us & trust Him with ourselves!

How to Treat Your Enemies

“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How should we treat our enemies? The Bible is clear on how to do that and the Bible is the best selling book says The New Yorker....”The familiar observation that the Bible is the best-selling book of all time obscures a more startling fact: the Bible is the best-selling book of the year, every year.” https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2006/12/18/the-good-book-business.
That’s the only book that teaches us how to treat our enemies!
Jesus took this principle to an all time high...He forgave as He died & told us to love our enemies. When He rose again,  we who were His enemies were reconciled to Him forever.  The Cross takes enemity out of our lives even today.
Let’s do away with hate, negativity, bitterness, grudges, unforgiveness and any attitude that keeps us away from Jesus.  Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us pray for our enemies as Jesus did.
