Worship & True Wisdom

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul is a telling the Church to let the word of Christ live in us richly, flooding us with all wisdom; to apply the Scriptures as we teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to us spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all our hearts!  The Word of God gives true wisdom as we apply it in our lives.  The love for Jesus Christ our Lord, fills us with singing in the Spirit in worship with psalms, praises and spiritual songs.  Let every activity of our lives and every word that comes from our lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring our constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for us!  Let’s be the company of people whose hearts burn for our altogether lovely Lord Jesus.  Amen!

Worship Jesus in Humility

“And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Joshua had crossed the Jordan miraculously, the manna had stopped, he’d sent spies to Jericho who returned after making a pact with Rahab.  The conquest of Jericho loomed large before Joshua when he had an encounter with the Commander of YHWH’s armies, the Lord Jesus Himself before His incarnation.  Joshua asked if He was on his side or the enemies?  Neither, He replied, saying that He had not come to take sides but to take charge.  At once Joshua threw himself facedown to the ground and worshipped and said to Him that he would do whatever the Lord commanded.  Then He gave Joshua a supernatural and illogical strategy for taking the city of Jericho.  When God calls us to fulfill His purpose, let’s take sides with God Himself and worship Him facedown Who comes to take charge.  The Lord Jesus has, through His Blood sacrifice and through our faith in the finished work of the Cross, come to take charge and give us a supernatural strategy to overcome the insurmountable.  Our part is to worship Him facedown in humility and say, “let Your will be done”; and then obey Him.  Thank You Jesus for taking charge as we humble ourselves before You.  Amen!

The Glorious Gospel

“Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Peter explains the power of the Gospel God revealed through His prophets, that their ministry was not for their own benefit but for ours. And now, we have heard these things from the evangelists who preached the Gospel to us through the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—the Gospel  containing wonderful mysteries that even the angels long to get a glimpse of.  Angels behold the glory of God and marvel when men and women who see so little of the glory here on earth, remain steadfast for the Lord Jesus Christ and the Truth of the Holy Bible in times of darkness.  These disciples are worthy to be called Christ’s brethren and the sons of the Father.  True faith is dependence on the Lord Jesus and His Word and not on ourselves or the wisdom of this world.  Jesus’s strength is made perfect in weakness.  Such disciples carry the weight of God’s power and glory given to us by the mighty Holy Spirit.  Thank You for Your Word and Your Holy Spirit given to us.  Hallelujah!

Humility Touches God

“LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may no more oppress.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭10:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

David the psalmist wrote this knowing that man has a special place with God, the Creator of all that is seen and unseen.  Yet the only way to reach God is through humility as Jesus showed the Way.  The Son of God humbled Himself to become the Son of Man and was obedient to death.  Through His Blood sacrifice mankind received grace.  God gives grace to the humble but resists the proud.  Truth is that when we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, He lifts us up.  God hears the desires of the humble and sees their hopes. God hears their cries and encourages their hearts. The orphans and the oppressed will be terrified no longer, for God brings them justice.  Let’s not wait for circumstances to humble us but let’s humble ourselves before God and pray for the oppressed in our land, children who have become orphans, that they receive the righteous justice of the Blood of the Cross.  Amen!

Chosen to be Extraordinary

“elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Peter is greeting the Church saying that we are not forgotten, for we have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set us apart to be God’s holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with His Blood. May God’s delightful grace and peace cascade over us many times over!  What a gracious revelation that we have been chosen by the foreknowledge of our Father God.  We have been set apart by the Holy Spirit for obedience and the Blood of Jesus has been given to us to multiply God’s grace and peace wherever we go.  We are uncommon, extraordinary and a supernatural people called to obey our God and manifest Christ in and through us.  Let’s walk in Christ because all that Jesus now is, so are we in this world.  Let’s walk in the love of Christ and manifest Him with grace and peace.  Amen!

Restored Relationship with God

“Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

David was feeling condemned at this time when his sin was exposed and asked God to let his passion for life be restored, so that he may taste joy in every breakthrough God brings bring to him. David asks the Lord to restore him to that closeness with God with a willing spirit that obeys whatever God says.  When we are convicted of our sin, let’s turn back to God in true repentance instead of becoming hard hearted and stubborn.  God restores that intimacy with Him when we repent.  Then God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by Christ’s Blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.  God reconciles and restores.  We repent and return to Him.  It’s all by faith and not by the works of the law.  Let’s desire intimacy with our God in our relationship with Him.  That’s what Jesus died to restore.  Let’s enjoy our relationship with God and come out of every condemnation because of His Blood sacrifice.  That’s the new covenant of grace.  Thank You Jesus!

The Law of Christ

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul is teaching this principle to the Church that if we see a believer who is overtaken with a fault, we, who are in the Spirit, should seek to restore that person in the Spirit of gentleness. But keep watch over our own heart so that we won’t be tempted to exalt ourselves over that person. Love empowers us to fulfill the law of the Anointed One as we carry each other’s troubles.  God has called the Church to bring restoration so that we walk in His grace.  The Church is not here to bring condemnation.  We must be so filled with the love of the Father, that we restore others with meekness.  If the love of the world is in us, we will bring hurt, pain and sorrow and walk in self righteousness.  Let’s walk in grace, which comes to the humble of heart.  Let’s believe that the Blood of the Lamb of God was shed for every person and so to love others with the love of the Father.  Thank You for Your love for each one of us, Heavenly Father!  Amen!

At the Name of Jesus

“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Isaiah prophesied that God makes this solemn oath in His Own Name; this Word sent from His Mouth in righteousness will not return unfulfilled: truly every knee will bow before God and every tongue will solemnly swear allegiance to God.  The apostle Paul told the Church that the Lord Jesus existed in the form of God, yet He gave no thought to seizing equality with God as His supreme prize. Instead He emptied Himself of His outward glory by reducing Himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled Himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a Man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in His death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion! Because of that obedience, God exalted Him and multiplied His greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names! The authority of the Name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this Name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm. And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,” bringing glory and honor to God, His Father!  Hallelujah!

Worship Jesus Alone!

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As the seventy whom Jesus had empowered to preach the Gospel returned, they reported that even the devils were subject to the Name of Jesus.  Then Jesus said He watched satan fall like lightening to the ground, as the seventy ministered.  Lucifer as satan was originally called, was the anointed cherub who walked before God Almighty on the fiery stones worshipping God, till iniquity was found in him and he fell.  This is because Lucifer shifted his focus of worship from the Almighty God and the Lord Jesus, to the power and the glory and then to himself and then wanted the position of God Himself and the Lord Jesus Who is in the Bosom of the Father.  Let’s keep our focus on Jesus Himself and not on the power and the glory or ourselves, when we worship Jesus.  Let’s know that satan falls at the Name of Jesus when the Gospel is preached, even today.  Let’s testify to devils being subject to Jesus even today.  Let’s worship and keep our focus on Jesus because He shed His Blood for us.  Praise You, Lord Jesus, Lord God Almighty, One with the Father!

Declare Christ’s Righteousness

“They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭22:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

David wrote this prophetic psalm all about the Messiah for David himself experienced none of what he wrote.  It was fulfilled perfectly in the Lord Jesus Christ as He hung on the Cross.  For God made Jesus to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.  Today we, the people who were yet unborn at that time, declare Christ’s righteousness.  We do not come to God with our own righteousness, but with His.  Any form of self righteousness is not acceptable to God the Judge because He judged our sin on Jesus Christ at the Cross so we would receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign in life.  Grace is only given to the humble of heart who have received Christ’s righteousness as a gift.  Our own righteousness leads to dead works but His righteousness makes us bear much fruit!  Therefore we choose to declare Christ’s righteousness and teach our children and children’s children of this wondrous gift of righteousness given freely to us, simply by faith.  Thank You, Jesus!

Our Father

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord Jesus told this parable of the young son who had taken his share from his living father and wasted it in riotous living.  When disaster hit him, he came to himself and wanted to return to his father so he set off for home. From a long distance away, his father saw him coming, dressed as a beggar, and great compassion swelled up in his heart for his son who was returning home. The father raced out to meet him, swept him up in his arms, hugged him dearly, and kissed him over and over with tender love.  Such is our heavenly Father’s love for us.  He hugs and  kisses us with tender love.  When Jesus taught His disciples to pray when they asked Him, He asked them to address God as “Our Father”, Whom they even feared to even say the Name of God!  Yet the prayer ends with “For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever and ever!”  The King of Creation is our Father in Heaven Who loves us tenderly.  We are the apple of His Eye!  Thank You, Father!

Kingdom of God Inhabitants

“And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭33:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Isaiah prophesied more than seven hundred years before, of the spoils of the great victory of Christ which He won for us through His death, resurrection and ascension.  No one living in Zion will say, “I am sick,” for all who live there will have their sin forgiven.  This is the status of all who belong to the Kingdom of God.  We are not sick and our sin is forgiven.  If we do get sick, we remember that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.  Our forgiveness and our healing was dealt with at the same time.  It’s not that forgiveness of sin is easy but healing is the long and difficult process.  At the Cross our forgiveness,  healing and deliverance happened together.  Let’s believe in the victory of the Cross.  Let’s walk as Kingdom of God people who are living in Zion.  Victory to Jesus, Hallelujah!

Simply by Faith

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul is explaining this vital point about living by faith.  It is obvious that no one achieves the righteousness of God by attempting to keep the law, for it is written: “The one who is in a right relationship with God will live by faith!” But keeping the law does not require faith, but self-effort. For the law teaches, “If you practice the principles of law, you must follow all of them.”  We live in a culture where pleasing God by performance of works is the way to approach God.  The law of karma teaches that good deeds leads to good rebirths and bad deed leads to bad rebirths.  Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Keeping the law leads to curse, whereas belief in the Lord Jesus Christ leads to the joy of eternal life.  The Blood sacrifice of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and, has made peace through the Blood of His Cross, by Him to reconcile all things to Himself; things in earth and things in heaven.  Thank You for releasing us from karma simply by faith in You, Lord Jesus!

Encouraging Word of Gladness

“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: But a good word maketh it glad.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Solomon the wise king gives sound advice, take it!  Stop worrying!  Think instead of what brings you gladness.  Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart.  Our focus must never be on what we can’t change but on the everlasting joy we have in Christ.  Sometimes we have to find the life-giving word of encouragement rising up in our own hearts.  This is the secret of finding continuous encouragement by the Word that lives in us.  That’s what Christ did through His death and resurrection, that He came to live in us, simply by us believing and inviting Him into our heart.  The greater one than Solomon is here to make us reign in life with the wisdom from above.  Thank You Jesus for being the Word in us to encourage others and bring joy!

Immortal Life through the Grace Gospel

“but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul encouraged Timothy his spiritual son, just before he gave his life up for the cause of the Gospel and said, that the truth is now being unveiled by the revelation of the anointed Jesus, the Life-giver, Who has dismantled death, destroying all its effects on our lives, and has manifested His immortal life in us by the Gospel.  The Lord Jesus is the Gospel and His resurrection power in us has destroyed death.  All Gospel of grace preachers who explain that our justification and righteousness is only through the finished work of the Cross, know the resurrection power of the Gospel.  Those who overcome by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the testimony of the Word and love not their lives even to death, are the immortal ones.  Let’s trade this natural life for the resurrection life through the true Gospel of grace and be overcomers.  It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing: the words that Jesus speaks to us,  they are Spirit, and they are Life.  Thank You Jesus for giving us Your immortal Life!

The Stairway to Heaven

“And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭28:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jacob when fleeing from his brother Esau, had this dream where he saw angels ascending and descending on a ladder and God Almighty told Jacob that He would bless him and his descendants and the whole world through him.  God speaks to mankind in dreams.  The ladder up the heavenly realm is where our true riches are.  Our true riches is Christ Himself.  Ascending the ladder progressively reveals God’s purpose for our lives in Christ.  Jesus is the only One to connect us from earth through His human nature, to heaven, His heavenly nature.  This Jesus ladder is what Jesus spoke to Nathaniel about when Nathaniel first met Him  and acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah God.  We must be born of the Spirit, that is, born again, to be able to ascend the Jesus ladder.  Jesus is the only Way to ascend.  Let’s acknowledge that  through faith in Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection opens us to the newness of life where we can ascend to the spiritual realms, not only in the hereafter but right here and now.  Let’s abide in Christ and dream dreams where He speaks to us to reveal the purpose He has created us for and accomplish His will on earth as it is in heaven.  Amen!

Cheerful Giving - God’s Way

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul is saying to the Corinthian church about the giving to flow from their heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God loves hilarious generosity!  Because God gave His all through His Son Jesus Christ, He loves us to give with an attitude of holding nothing back.  God loves it when He sees us giving like He does and gives us the best, more than we can ask or imagine.  It is all by faith which brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.  We cannot see God but we love Him and know that His Word is true.  It pleases God for us to have faith in Him and to obey His Word.  Let’s be cheerful givers, making the Lord merry with laughter as we give!  Amen!

Sin Began & Ended with A Tree

“And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Eve saw that the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was delightful to look upon and desirable to give insight, so she took its fruit and ate it.  She gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he also ate it.  Immediately, their eyes were opened, and they realised they were naked, vulnerable, and ashamed; so they sewed fig leaves together for coverings.  Man’s sin began with a tree and ended with a tree.  Although there was nobody on earth but Adam and Eve, yet they knew they were naked, nobody told them!  The Shekinah glory that covered them, was taken away.  Fig leaves are a picture of whatever we hide behind to cover our shame.  The works of man only partially covers sinfulness - this being the first attempt to cover sin.  The fig tree was the only thing Jesus cursed while on earth.  The robe of righteousness that Jesus clothes us in is perfect for those who eat of fruit of the Tree of Life, which is the Cross of Jesus Christ.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse by hanging upon the tree that we might be blessed with God’s life and righteousness and be covered by His glory again.  Thank You Jesus!

The New Covenant of Grace

“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Holy Spirit inspired the writing of the Bible as holy men of God spoke as they were moved by God.  Here the writer is clear that God, by establishing this new covenant has made the first now obsolete, ready to expire, and about to disappear.  Does that mean that we don’t read the Old Testament?  Of course not!  The difference is that we read the Old Testament in the light of the New.  We see Jesus and His Blood sacrifice in establishing the New Covenant, in every page of the Old Testament.  The whole Bible is about the Lord Jesus Christ and it is the Living Word which transform humans to have the image of God restored in us to be like Christ.  Sin distorted the image but the New Covenant restored it, entirely through faith in the finished work of the Cross.  The Old Testament was needed only for the time that the law brought about the awareness of sin.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.  That is why we read the old in the light of the New Covenant because the Lord Jesus made the law obsolete and established the New Covenant of Grace.  We read the Old Testament with the Grace that the Lord Jesus established in our hearts by forgiving our sins and accepting us in the Beloved.  Thank You Jesus for the New Covenant of Grace!

Get Angry with the Devil

“Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7:9-10‬ KJV

God blessed Solomon with wisdom to rule over Israel and there has never been a ruler like him since.  Wisely he cautioned to control our temper, as anger labels us a fool. Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.  Life changes, situations change and we too need to change with the situations at hand.  If we are angry or frustrated we are ineffective.  Better to get angry with the devil who brings bad situations in our life instead of attributing it to God.  God by nature is good and the One Who blesses us which is why He sent Jesus to become the Son of Man and die the cruel death of the Cross.  Jesus destroyed the works of the devil at the Cross.  Let’s learn to agree with the Word and speak destruction of the devil’s works like sickness, disease, despair, hopelessness, lack etc.  Let’s learn to declare the victory of the Cross of Jesus every time.  Let’s not live in the past or live in anger and bitterness.  Let’s be in the joy of the Lord living victoriously.  We thank God for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.

Manifesting Christ Through the Church

“Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul encourages the Church by telling them of the godliness that should be seen in our lives and ministries today as it was to the Corinthians.  We excel in everything.  We have unstoppable faith.  We have an anointing of grace to speak the Word.  We have revelation knowledge.  We have passionate devotion.  We show love.  We are generous.  That’s Who Jesus is and that’s Who we reflect through us.  We don’t belong to ourselves any longer, we are God’s expensive purchase, paid with tears of Blood.  Christ is Whom we manifest in us.  Glory to God for His Wisdom in manifesting Himself through the Church!

Be Jesus Conscious not Sin Conscious

“And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.”

‭‭Judges‬ ‭16:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Samson was a miracle child, with a calling on his life, an ordinary looking person, who became extraordinarily strong with the anointing of the Spirit of the Lord.  He judged the children of Israel for twenty years.  He made so many bad choices yet through them all God’s calling on his life was accomplished.  God so loves us that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us so that when we believe we receive eternal life in Christ.  God knows the calling on our life, He knows our frailties and the bad choices we make.  He is able to accomplish His purposes inspite of our wrong choices.  Let’s not condemn ourselves for our failures and run away from God.  Let’s turn to Him and reveal our failures to Him and He heals us.  He brings us up from the pit situation and uses us again.  There were more Philistines in that building along with Dagon whom they worshipped.  But all were wiped out with the anointed strength God gave Samson at that last time.  Let’s celebrate the anointing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for us to receive and allow the Holy Spirit to accomplish what He has purposed for us.  Let’s be Jesus conscious and not sin conscious.  Thank You Jesus!

Judgment on God’s Household

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV

Peter is telling that the time is ripe for judgment to begin in God’s own household. And if it starts with us, what will be the fate of those who refuse to obey the gospel of God?  In our personal leading of the Holy Spirit, are we suffering for the sake of the spread of the Gospel?  That is God’s will for us and Jesus’s last command, that wherever we go, to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that Jesus has commanded us.   That we never forget that Jesus, the I AM, is with us every day, even to the completion of this age.  If we are suffering for any other reason as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, the judgment of God will begin with His own household.  Let’s hear personally from our Heavenly Father, Who sent Jesus to remove the veil of His flesh so we could boldly enter the Holy of Holies by a new and living way and be led by the Holy Spirit as mature sons of God.  Let’s obey God.  Amen!

Removing Iniquity & Sin Forever

“And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jeremiah was told of the disaster that was coming upon his nation and that the people would be scattered in exile.  He wept and lamented and repented for his nation but sin and lawlessness had so distorted the people that judgment had to be visited upon the people.  In the midst of this sorrowful time God gave hope to the prophet of the new covenant which God was going to make with the people when the time comes. He will put His law within them—write it on their hearts!—and be their God. And they will be His people. They will no longer go around setting up schools to teach each other about God. They’ll know Him firsthand, the dull and the bright, the smart and the slow. God would wipe the slate clean for each of them. They will forget they ever sinned!  Such is God’s love for humanity that He fulfilled this new covenant of grace by giving His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and cut it with Jesus’s Blood born as a human.  It is only Jesus’s Blood that forgives iniquity and washes away sin.  It is only through faith and belief that we can enjoy the benefits of this new covenant of grace, nothing else.  Thank You Father!

Confessing our Redemption

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The apostle John is explaining that if we freely admit our sins when His light uncovers them, He will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and He will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Instead of telling God about the detail of our sin, by confessing we remind ourselves about the detail of our redemption - God doesn’t need the information about our sins, we do!  God’s faithfulness and righteousness is the basis of our forgiveness and cleansing from every sin.  Jesus removed every condemning evidence against us.  Confession really is to say what God says about us.  In the new covenant of grace, Jesus has finished the work of every damning evidence against us.  We are to confess our redemption now so that we proclaim the victory of the Cross.  Let’s not be burdened under the law of personal performance, deceiving ourselves and ignoring the truth.  Let’s not focus on what we have done wrong, but on what Jesus has done right!  The light of the Gospel reveals our freedom from sin, not our bondage to it.  Let’s confess the benefits of redemption because of the glory of the Cross!  Thank You Jesus!

Giver of Life

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Abraham knew that these three strangers are from God.  When one of them spoke the word of revelation knowledge about Abraham’s wife Sarah conceiving and giving birth to a son, it seemed an impossibility!  For when Sarah laughed,  the stranger asked Abraham if he thought that anything is too marvellous for YHWH?  That God would appear at the appointed time the next year and Sarah will have a son.  Ever since Abram was changed with a ‘Hei’ to Abraham, and Sarai to Sarah, the Breath of God entered them.  The Giver of Life, the Mighty Holy Spirit, reversed the ageing process so that they had Isaac at an old age.  The Breath of Life has been given to all those who believe in the resurrected Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit is upon us delighting to do in and through us what is impossible with man.  For the law of the Spirit of Life has made us free from the law of sin and death.  Let’s allow the mighty Holy Spirit to birth Christ in others through the glorious Gospel of Life!  Amen!

Alpha & Omega

“but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The psalmist asked what is man that the Almighty God should be mindful of him?  What is it about human species that God cannot get them out of His mind?  Instead God emptied Himself of His outward glory by reducing Himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled Himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in His death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!  Jesus’s mission was not to prove His Deity, but to embrace our humanity, our physical form even identifying Himself as the Servant of the human race.  In truth, His love enslaved Him to us, by willingly dying humanity’s death, a criminal’s death, at the hands of His own creation.  By the doorway of humanity’s death, He descended into our hellish darkness and conquered the underworld and He has the keys - no one else does!  From this place of utter humiliation, God exalted Him to the highest rank and graced Jesus with a Name that is far above every other name, and far above all things.  He is the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Perfector of our faith.  Let’s bow down before Him and worship Him.  Worthy is the Lamb!

Priests of God

“But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Isaiah prophesied that all those who believe in the Messiah would be prepared by the Holy Spirit to be known as Priests of YHWH, not only those from the house of Levi.  They will be called Servants of our God and will feast on the wealth of nations and revel in their riches!  This has been the desire of God to make all of His people as priests which surpasses the priestly ministry of the old covenant.  By the Blood sacrifice of Jesus, all believers in the new covenant of grace are priests.  As Peter put it,  God’s invitation is to be His “living stones” who are continually being assembled into a sanctuary for God. For now we serve as holy priests, offering up spiritual sacrifices that God readily accepts through Jesus Christ.  We are priests before God in this high calling, God has reposed on us.  Let’s fulfill our responsibility as a living stone in the Body of Christ, because our Cornerstone is Christ Himself!  Hallelujah!

God’s Glory through Jesus Given to Us

“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”

‭‭John‬ ‭17:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord Jesus praying His last prayer before being crucified, gives us the depth of His desire in the new covenant of grace.  Here He prays that the very glory God has given to Him, He has given to those that believe in Him, so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that the Father and the Son enjoy.  In the old covenant YHWH had said, “I Am the LORD: that is My Name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images.”  Though we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God, by His propitiation through faith in His blood, He has made us recipients of His glory.  Let us believe in this awesome new covenant of grace for He has given us His glory.  Jesus is worthy to be worshipped - glory to God!

God’s Miracles Our Heritage

“Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: For they are the rejoicing of my heart.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:111‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In this unique and longest of psalms, the psalmist says that God’s testimonies are received by him as a heritage forever and they rejoice his heart.  What God has done for Noah, Abraham, Moses and the children of Israel, and all the Jews history in which God did miracles after miracles, are the psalmist’s personal heritage.  Everything the Lord Jesus has spoken and done is our joyous treasure, our personal heritage, filling our life with gladness.  This becomes ours through the death and resurrection of Jesus, simply by faith.  All God’s testimonies are our heritage simply by faith!  Getting the water out of the Rock, Jesus getting Peter the boat sinking, net breaking load of fishes, the Holy Spirit taking Philip to Azotus in an instant, and every miracle becomes our heritage simply through believing in the finished work of the Son of God!  That’s the Almighty God we worship Who rejoices our heart by making the Scriptures our personal heritage.  Hallelujah!
