”Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.“
2 Corinthians 7:1-2 KJV
Paul said, “Beloved ones, with promises like these, and because of our deepest respect and worship of God, we must remove everything from our lives that contaminates body and spirit, and continue to complete the development of holiness within us. Again, I urge you, make room for us in your hearts, for we have wronged no one, corrupted no one, and taken advantage of no one.“ Believers today must take an active approach to spiritual maturity and living holy lives. Grace never removes our responsibility to be faithful to God but empowers to do what pleases Him. Every minister must set for his or her calling: to do no wrong to another, nor “hate” anyone; to not corrupt or lead anyone astray; to never use his or her authority to take advantage of anyone by cheating for personal gain. Paul had a blameless record in his ministry. Let’s be mature and disciplined to follow Paul’s example. Amen!
