New Covenant Blessings

“and he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet: but he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭14‬:‭52‬-‭53‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As LORD and Owner of the Israelites, God was taking care of everything, including the purity of their bodies and houses as God commanded Moses.  In the new covenant, we are in Christ.  Not only we ourselves, but all that we own, all our belongings are His.  Since God dwells in our house, we are the tenants and He the Owner, being His good stewards!  We don’t follow the rituals of old covenant cleansing and purifying, but keep our dwellings clean and sanctified.  Since every spiritual blessing is ours in Christ, every single article in our homes is blessed.  Not the blood of a bird, but the precious Blood of Jesus is sprinkled in our house and we enjoy God’s glorious Presence.  We call our walls salvation and our gates praise.  Hallelujah!

Touching the Word in Faith

“And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus knew at once that someone had touched him, for he felt the power that always surged around him had passed through him for someone to be healed. He turned and spoke to the crowd, saying, “Who touched my clothes?”  There was a glorious power that kept going around Jesus Christ, drawing others to Him and healing those He touched, like He healed this woman who touched Him by faith.  Jesus knew that the power of God was always going from Him and it flowed through Him to someone in the crowd.  Jesus already knew who touched Him but He wanted the woman to come forward and acknowledge her healing.  There were crowds around Jesus, the living Word.  Many today crowd around the written Word.  But only those who ‘touch’ the Word in faith, receive its promises, just like the woman who received her healing.  Hallelujah!

God’s Restorative Healing Power through Us

“and the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV

God, the Great Physician has appointed His priests as His sub-physicians to take care of the health problems of His people.  In those days, the heathen would go to their gods’ priests for magical potions etc.  In Christ, as God’s priests, as we walk in the Spirit, we can speak healing, using God’s authority to pronounce and declare healing to the sick.  The Church is yet to believe in this ability of God and act on it.  But times are coming when multitudes will go to God’s people and be healed.  Get ready!  In Christ, we should trust God’s restorative healing powers inside us to restore the physical health of many.  Let’s thank God that these signs shall follow us: in Jesus’s Name, we cast out demons, we speak with new tongues, we take up serpents and if we drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt us, we lay hands on the sick and they will recover.  All because we are in Christ.  Amen!

Mystery of the Kingdom of God

“And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬, ‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If you understand this, then you need to respond.” Jesus said to His disciples, “The privilege of intimately knowing the mystery of God’s Kingdom realm has been granted to you, but not to the others, where everything is revealed in parables.”  We usually apply portions of this parable to unbelievers, but Jesus instructs us to apply it to ourselves.  The four kinds of soils speak of four kinds of hearts: hard hearts, hollow hearts, half hearts and whole hearts.  With the first soil we see the activity of Satan; the second that of the flesh; the third that of the world.  Bearing fruit is never the problem with the seed, but with the soil it falls upon.  Jesus spoke allegorically so that those who didn’t care to understand, couldn’t understand.  Yet Jesus knows that the hungry ones will seek out the hidden meaning of the parables and understand the secrets of God’s Kingdom realm.  It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: But the honour of kings is to search out a matter.  Amen!

In Christ we are One

“who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law exalted manhood over womanhood, till Christ came.  Life in Christ has abolished this difference between the male baby and the female baby.  In Christ even this curse has been broken.  There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For we are all one in Christ Jesus.  In Christ, no mother is considered ceremonially unclean, the Blood of Jesus made her clean.  Under the law, women couldn’t come into the sanctuary of God’s Presence for about two months but in Christ, both men and women carry the same Presence of God.  We celebrate the arrival of both male and female babies as a heritage and a reward from God.  In Christ women have every right to claim the blessings of motherhood, childbearing and all the family blessings.  We are one in Christ!  Amen!

Jesus Destroyed the Devil

“No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭3‬:‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus said to them, “Listen. No one is able to break into a mighty man’s house and steal his property unless he first overpowers the mighty man and ties him up. Then his entire house can be plundered and his possessions taken.”  The strong man needs the stronger man.  Jesus is the Stronger One Who has defeated Satan in the wilderness ordeal and then destroyed him by the Cross and resurrection.  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.  Bruising his head, Jesus now has Satan under His Feet and will soon consign the devil to the lake of fire!  Thank God!

Washed by the Water of the Word & Led by the Holy Spirit

“For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭11‬:‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God explicitly spoke to Moses and Aaron about foods that were permitted and forbidden, being connected to the ceremonial cleanliness or uncleanness.  The children of Israel had to follow these laws to walk in health and cleanliness.  In Christ, this ceremonial aspect is totally ruled out as God has declared everything  clean when Jesus fulfilled and abolished the law in the new covenant.  Life in Christ is the most liberated life on earth and we can eat anything and still be holy and clean before God.  The Holy Spirit God, has liberated us the children of God, as we take His leading and guidance, even in our eating habits and we will be strong and healthy.  God cares for us in every detail of our life.  Paul told Timothy to no longer drink only water, but use a little wine for his stomach’s sake and his frequent infirmities.  This is wrongly argued by many that God allows drunkenness!  God clearly says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”.  It is God’s will that we may prosper in all things and be in health, just as our soul prospers cleansed by the water of the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Forgiveness & Healing Flow From Jesus Only

“Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭9 KJV

The scribes listening to Jesus were offended at what Jesus was saying, so Jesus asked, “Which is easier, to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are now forgiven,’ or, ‘Stand up and walk!’?”  The answer to Jesus’s question is obvious.  It is easy for anyone to say, “Your sins are forgiven,” for that cannot be proven.  But if someone were to tell a paralysed man to stand up, and he didn’t stand up, that would prove the person is a fraud.  Jesus didn’t do the “easy thing” without accomplishing the hard thing, the miracle of healing.  Forgiveness and healing both flow from Jesus Christ.  Hallelujah!

Spirit-led Life

“And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The first two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, are a great warning for us.  They were washed, clothed, anointed and consecrated for God’s service.  They even stayed in God’s Presence for seven full days.  They witnessed God’s visible glory and offered all kinds of sacrifices.  Still, the very first day of their dedication became their death day.  What a warning! They offered man-made fire, strange and unholy.  Life in Christ is a life of great responsibility. For us who are in Christ, without the Holy Spirit, whatever our service, is man made, of the flesh, and is strange to God.  When we walk in the Spirit, we do not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  The Holy Spirit has been given to us to walk without making mistakes, He is the perfect Guide and Teacher.  He helps us to live in the level of God’s standards.  We are a priest in God’s household and judgment begins from God’s house.  Let’s live in the abundance of grace that Christ gave us and manifest the holiness and power of God to the sinful world.  This happens when we are led by the Holy Spirit as sons of God.  Amen!

New Life in Christ without Intimidation

“And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

John wore a rough garment made from camel hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and honey.  John wore what Elijah had worn.  With a diet of locusts, John points back to the four varieties of locusts mentioned by the prophet Joel earlier.  Locusts (grasshoppers) are an emblem of intimidation that keep believers from taking their inheritance by faith.  Israel thought themselves to be grasshoppers in their own eyes because of the intimidation of the fierce inhabitants of the land.  John the Baptiser arrives on the scene and makes locusts his food, eating up that symbol of intimidation (devouring the devourer).  He drank honey, which is a biblical metaphor of the revelation of God’s Word that is sweeter than honey.  John’s ministry was a prophetic statement from God that a new day had come, a day of leaving dead formalism and embracing new life in Jesus Christ without intimidation.  Amen!

Christ’s Glory in Us

“And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The day the priestly ministry began, God’s heavenly fire appeared before the entire congregation and consumed the offerings and the people shouting for joy, fell face down.  Today, our greatest privilege is as new creatures in Christ to enjoy the indwelling Christ manifesting through us continuously.  Christ is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—His mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of His spoken Word.  He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took His seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.  Let’s live in constant expectancy of God’s glory manifest through us.  Let’s trust in the finished work of Christ as we claim our rights as children of God.  Let’s intercede as His anointed priests and be a blesser.  Let’s linger in God’s dazzling Presence and allow the Holy Spirit to manifest the glory of Christ through us.  Hallelujah!

The Great Commission

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me. Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”  When we love the Lord Jesus, we choose to follow Him wholeheartedly and obey Him.  Now we are part of His Body, His heart is ours, His passion is ours, His obedience to the Father becomes our obedience to Him.  We are here to disciple and teach all nations and if they make a free-will choice to follow Christ, then to baptise them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  There is no conversion, forced or bribe-induced.  Our God is love Who never forces anyone, and our motivation to obey Him is God’s love for others.  Amen!

Rejoicing in our High Calling

“And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Aaron and his sons were called and chosen by God as Moses called them into God’s Presence; washed them with water; clothed them with priestly garments; anointed them with oil; offered different kinds of offerings on their behalf; and made them eat holy food in God’s Presence.  In Christ, we are foreknown, predestined, called, justified and glorified.  The Lord Jesus has washed us with the water of God’s Word, thoroughly cleansed us to present us before God.  All our sins were washed away, the day we were baptised in Christ and His Word is continuously washing us from the defilement of daily life.  We are dressed for dignity for we have put on the Lord Jesus Christ Himself as He clothes us with the robe of righteousness.  Not only that, in Christ, He has anointed us so that the Spirit of the Lord is upon us to preach the Gospel, heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, set at liberty the oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.  Christ has offered Himself for us and made the new covenant wherein we dine with the Divine.  We rejoice in our high calling and that we are secure in Christ.  Amen!

God’s Sign to the World

“and set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Above his head they placed a sign that read, “This is Jesus of Nazareth, King of Israel.  This sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek.  Aramaic was the common spoken language in Israel because Hebrew had ceased to be the spoken language in 450 BC when the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity.  Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire.  Greek was for the Alexandrian Jews in Jerusalem for the Passover.  The first letter of each of the four words were YHWH, writing the sacred name Yahweh.  That’s why the chief priests were so offended and wanted it changed but Pilate refused.  It was God’s sign that the Saviour of the world bled for you and for me.  Amen!

Christ is the End of the Law

“This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭7‬:‭37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the law of the burnt offering, the cereal offering, the sin offering, the guilt or trespass offering, the consecration offering, and the sacrifice of peace offerings, that the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel.  We are so blessed in the new covenant that Christ is the end of the law. And because of Him, God has transferred His perfect righteousness to all who believe.   Were we to keep the old covenant offerings, we would continue to be under yoke.  Let’s believe Jesus when He says, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I Am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.  Let’s by faith believe Christ and walk in that rest that He has promised.  Amen!

Jesus’s Presence with us Today

“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus told His disciples, “The next time we drink this, I will be with you and we will drink it together with a new understanding in the kingdom realm of my Father.”  We who follow Christ today, are now in the realm of the Kingdom of God.  The Holy Spirit brings us into the Body of Christ and into the reality of the Kingdom of God.  It is growing and increasing in scope, and every time believers drink of the cup of communion, Jesus is present with us.  It is the Lord’s Table, not ours.  This was a prophecy of what would happen in just a matter of days from then, as believers would break bread together in remembrance of what Jesus did for them.  Jesus now drinks it with us in a new way, and not just once a year at Passover, but every time we worship Him by taking communion.  Amen!

Jesus Restored What He Didn’t Take

“then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God spoke to Moses: “When anyone sins by betraying trust with God by deceiving his neighbour regarding something entrusted to him, or by robbing or cheating or threatening him; or if he has found something lost and lies about it and swears falsely regarding any of these sins that people commonly commit—when he sins and is found guilty, he must return what he stole or extorted, restore what was entrusted to him…He must make full compensation, add twenty percent to it, and hand it over to the owner on the same day he brings his Compensation-Offering.”  David received a revelation of the Messiah in this psalm.  “They that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: Then I restored that which I took not away.”  Jesus made compensation restoration by that which He took not away.  God is not the author of evil, the devil is.  God in Christ gave back everything we lost, through His Blood Offering and the finished work of the Cross, and totally defeated the devil.  We must never attribute to God what the devil does.  Amen!

Take God’s Word Seriously

“For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the one who has will be given more, until he overflows with abundance. And the one with hardly anything, even what little he has will be taken from him.”  Jesus is clearly stating that the one who has a heart of faithful stewardship, will be given more to manage.  The one who has very little faithfulness, wisdom and integrity, will lose the little that he has failed to manage well.  Let’s learn to take God’s Word seriously and put it into practice because obedience to His Word is the accountability that we have before Him with Whom we have to do.  When we make a petition or an offering to the Lord, let’s believe that it will be returned with even more, by God’s generosity.  He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  Amen!

Elect to Receive the Atoning Sacrifice

“If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Every offering mentioned in the old covenant is a shadow of the perfect sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, an illustration of our life in Christ.  Trespasses are guilt sins: when you withhold the truth, knowing the truth and hiding it; or touching unclean things like unclean thoughts, words and emotions; rash vows which you make and fail to fulfil.  The moment you become aware of your trespass or guilt, as a new creation in Christ, allow the Holy Spirit to convict you so that you are able to acknowledge and confess it.  Then immediately plead the Blood of your Saviour on your behalf and receive His atoning Sacrifice for yourself personally.  You are elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus Christ.  What an awesome restitution!  What a wonderful Saviour!  Our God and our Lord!

Focus on Jesus

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭29‬ ‭KJV

Then immediately this is what will take place: ‘The sun will be darkened and the moon give no light. The stars will fall from the sky and all the cosmic powers will be shaken.’  Jesus is telling of how it will be with the end of the days, not to scare us, but as the True Prophet, He is saying to seek Him and His peace which He alone can give.  Whenever there is mystery in the Word of God, we are encouraged to get understanding by direct revelation from the Holy Spirit Who is here to guide us into all truth.  Here, the Lord Jesus is indicating that the lights of the natural realm are being shut off and replaced with heaven’s glory - lights out on the old order!  Sun, moon and stars are also representative of the governmental structure falling with great calamity.  A new order, a new glory is coming to replace the fading glories of this world.  Let’s focus on Christ and bring many souls to Him, Who alone is the Saviour of mankind.  Amen!

Jesus Our All Sufficient Offering

“Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Under the old covenant, everyone had to compulsorily bring sin offerings for their atonement, it was the only way they could escape God’s righteous judgment.  This is a picture of the final sin offering, our Lord Jesus.  Our God understands that no good thing dwells in the flesh, and every inclination of man’s heart is evil.  That’s why Jesus became our all-sufficient Offering, and we are made righteous and acceptable to God.  Now Jesus is our High Priest Who sympathises with our weaknesses, having been tempted on all points, yet without sin.  We are justified freely by Jesus’s grace and redemption because we are in Christ.  Thank You, Jesus!

Jesus Christ is LORD

“Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Nor are you to be addressed as ‘teacher,’ for you have one Teacher, the Anointed One.  Jesus is emphasising the priority of God over titles of men and over all teachers, fathers and leaders.  He is not teaching us to be disrespectful to teachers, fathers and leaders, but that God must be in first place over all others.  Even in the old covenant, the priests were instructed by God when directing the people who came for justice that “thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:”.  In the new covenant every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,” bringing glory and honor to God, His Father!  Hallelujah!

The Lamb of God - Our Peace Offering

“And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.”

‭‭Leviticus 3:1 KJV

A peace offering is different from burnt offerings and sin offerings because it seeks peace and fellowship with God.  This is the only offering that is eaten both by the priest and the offerer as God enjoys intimacy by sharing a feast.  In Christ, Jesus Himself is our peace, Who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; for through Him we both have access by One Spirit to the Father.  In Christ, the Lamb of God was slain and shed His Blood to bring perfect peace between us and God as a pleasing aroma.  Because Christ lives in us by faith, we are God’s peace offering standing in the gap between God and mankind.  By the Blood of Jesus, we enjoy both our relationship and fellowship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Hallelujah!

The Bride, the Church & the Bridegroom, Lord Jesus

“And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now, when the king entered the banquet hall, he looked with glee over all his guests. But then he noticed a guest who was not wearing the wedding robe provided for him.  God is the King Who prepared His Kingdom feast for His Son, Jesus Christ.  The servants who brought the guests from the streets and lanes, are the prophets, ministers and messengers of the Gospel who invited the people to  enter into the love feast of Jesus.  Those invited to come from the streets and lanes had no opportunity to buy wedding clothes.  This robe is the garment of righteousness that grace provides for us.  The man without the wedding garment had one provided but he didn’t want to change into new clothes.  A change is necessary, for our King provides garments of white linen for us to wear.  It is all about the wedding of the Lamb to the Bride of Christ, the glorious feast is prepared for us!  Let the Church get prepared as the Bride of Christ!  Glory to God!

The Bread of Life

“And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The grain offering is also called meat or meal offering, cereal offering or food offering.  It was an ‘unbloody’ offering to God in thankfulness for the Saviour and forgiveness.  A drink offering generally accompanied it along with fine flour with oil and incense on it, cakes made without yeast and firstfruits as grain offerings.  This acknowledged God as the Source of all earthly blessings.  Jesus is the Bread of Life for us and the Firstfruit offered to God.  Jesus offered His Life as incense to God, as prayer and praise to God.  Even now He intercedes for us.  Jesus satisfied God in everything.  Now that the Living Bread lives in us, the world is hungry for the True Bread.  Let’s feed them with Him as a meal offering to God, a satisfying fragrance to God.  Whenever we help God’s ministers or give to the poor, God accepts it as a pleasing grain offering.  Let’s live out our life for others, just like Jesus Who lives in and through us.  Amen!

Hosanna in the Highest

“And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus rode in the centre of the procession—crowds going before Him and crowds coming behind Him, and they all shouted, “Bring the victory, Lord, Son of David! He is the blessed one sent from the Lord Yahweh! We celebrate with praises to God in the highest!”  Hosanna in Aramaic means “O save, bring the victory, Lord!”  The crowds were recognising Jesus as Yahweh’s Messiah.  By shouting out, “Son of David” they were expecting Jesus to immediately overthrow the Roman oppression and set the nation free.  Many want victory before the Cross, but true victory comes after the resurrection!  The psalmist had already proclaimed it a thousand years ago.  “Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be He that cometh in the name of the LORD: We have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.”  Hallelujah!

Christ our Atonement

“If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD. And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Leviticus is generally ignored because we can’t relate to the many kinds of sacrifices elaborated here.  But each of these are a shadow, our Lord Jesus is the substance of all these offerings, He is our all-sufficient offering.  The burnt offering here was sheep, goat, dove or pigeon, killed at the door of the tabernacle.  Now, with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, we enter into His Presence.  Now we are to walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.  Through faith, we are the burnt offering now to live for Christ and a sweet fragrance of Christ to God.  People smell the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go to bless the world.

Christ’s Suffering

“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus replied, “You don’t know what you are asking.” Then, looking in the eyes of Jacob and John, Jesus said, “Are you prepared to drink from the cup of suffering that I am about to drink? And are you able to endure the baptism into death that I am about to endure?” They answered him, “Yes, we are able.”  James and John showed their lack of experience, wisdom and judgment in their ambition to be in power, specially since they asked their mother to request the favour from Jesus.  This happened after Jesus prophesied for the third time of His crucifixion.  Their hearts were set on their own advancement rather than intercession for their Lord.  Later,   after Jesus’s resurrection, they experienced the baptism of suffering which Jesus talked about.  Like Paul they came to know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death.  Let’s be willing to love Jesus with all our heart, body, mind and strength.  Amen!

God’s Glory

“Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭40‬:‭34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the Glory of God filled The Dwelling.  At the end of  this book and when all the work was done, the fullness of God’s glory came.  This is God’s ultimate plan for His set-apart people, Christ’s Body, the Church.  In Christ, you and I are made for the fullness of God’s glory and it is His desire to see us full of His Presence, Power and Glory.  We are His Glory-Temple!  We are to release His glory.  The anointing oil brought God’s glory on the tabernacle.  Christ’s Anointing which is already on us, has to be released.  The fullness of God’s glory is directly connected to our implicit and total obedience.  The Spirit of Glory freely manifests His fullness to those who obey His every bidding.  If you are in the right place at the right time with the right cause, God’s glory is there to attest everything you do.  This is the secret of miracle power.  Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.  Glory to God!

Selflessly Serving Christ

“For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus explained this clearly that some are born to celibacy; others have been made eunuchs by others. And there are some who have chosen to live in celibacy for the sacred purpose of heaven’s Kingdom realm. Let those who can, accept this truth for themselves.  Three kinds of celibates are mentioned.  First, those who from birth have grace to remain celibate.  Second, sometimes a male who has been castrated, usually before puberty, greatly affecting the hormonal changes of a boy becoming an adult.  In biblical times, these eunuchs were chosen to be male servants of a king, so they didn’t have sex with the king’s harem.  Third is a metaphorical class of people (male and female) who have chosen to be the Bride of Christ above their own desires, who always point to the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.  They are ‘spiritual eunuchs’ determined to extend the Kingdom of God, always watchful and diligent, having nothing to do with sex, always serving Christ and His Kingdom.  Thank You Lord for such servants of God!
