Humility Brings Favour with God

“And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭20‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV

Hezekiah was pleased and showed the messengers of Merodach-Baladan, the son of Baladan king of Babylon, around the place giving a guided tour of all his prized possessions. There wasn’t a thing in his palace or kingdom that Hezekiah didn’t show them.  Babylon hadn’t yet become the powerful kingdom it became later, but Hezekiah, with pride showed off everything he had.  Inspite of God’s favour, people become proud and careless. Jesus showed that humility brings continuous grace to lead a consecrated and holy life. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, being in the form of God, became Man, humbled Himself becoming obedient to the death of the Cross. So God highly exalted Him and gave Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, for God the Father’s glory. Humility brings favour with God.  Amen!

Jesus the Vine calling us His Branches

“and he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So Joseph settled his family in the village of Nazareth, fulfilling the prophecy that He would be known as the “Branch”, or “a Nazarene”.  The Branch of the Lord would come and establish righteousness.  Isaiah had prophesied this centuries ago, “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.”  The teaching of the Branch of the Lord is taught right throughout Scripture, from the Tree of Life, to the seven branches of the Lampstand, to Jesus the Vine calling us His branches.  This word also means “Scion and Heir of a powerful family” and “Victorious One”.  “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.”  May we as branches of the Vine, abide in Christ and be fruitful and victorious.  Amen!

Nothing is Impossible with our God

“Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭19‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hezekiah faced certain defeat at the hand of the Assyrian army which had come conquering right till Jerusalem and not been defeated yet.  Right at the face of such insurmountable challenge, Hezekiah put his trust in YHWH, LORD God Almighty, “But now O God, our God, save us from raw Assyrian power; Make all the kingdoms on earth know that You are God, the One and Only God.”  Hezekiah’s prayer was answered and the enemy retreated.  This is the secret of our God, that confronted by impossible circumstances, our God comes through, for nothing is impossible with Him.  At Hezekiah’s time, this was only for Israel, but now through Christ, God so loved the world, Jews and non-Jews alike, that He gave His Only begotten Son, and whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For He said, “Behold, I Am Yahweh, God of all the world. Nothing is impossible with Me.”  This is our God, when we face impossible challenges, we call upon Him and we are saved.  Amen!

The Body of the Anointed One

“So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the Babylonian captivity, fourteen generations, and from the Babylonian captivity to Christ, fourteen generations.  From Abraham to Christ would make a total of forty two generations.  However when you count, it comes to only forty one.  There is a missing generation.  What could that mean?  Jesus gave birth to the forty second generation when He died on the Cross.  For out of His side blood and water flowed.  Blood and water come forth at birth.  The first Adam “birthed” his wife out of his side, and so Jesus, the last Adam, gave birth to His Bride, from His wounded side. Jesus wants to reproduce Himself in us.  Christ is the title that explains Who He is - the Anointed One.  “Christ” is also now a corporate body - the Body of Christ.  We, as the Body of Christ, are also anointed ones (Christians). For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. Amen!

Don’t Be Deceived - God is Not Mocked

“Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭18‬:‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Rabshakeh, one of the messengers of Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, spoke on behalf of the Assyrian king to Hezekiah and the Jews as the Assyrian army surrounded Jerusalem, mocking God, “Can you name a god who saved anyone anywhere from me, the king of Assyria? So what makes you think that God can save Jerusalem from me?”  As Hezekiah trusted and worshipped God, the Assyrian king had to retreat from Jerusalem because enemies were attacking his own country.  When he returned home, one of his own sons, killed him.  Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.  Today, Christ is mocked for being weak, helpless and still nailed to the Cross.  We know that Christ has destroyed sin and death through the finished work of the Cross and is resurrected and seated at the right hand of the Father in glory, with all principalities and powers under His feet.  All mankind will have to give an account of our life to the One Who is destined to judge the living and the dead.  May we live our life to glorify Jesus Christ, mankind’s Saviour.  Amen!

Our Bright & Morning Star

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I, Jesus, sent My angel to you to give you this testimony to share with the congregations. I Am the bright Morning Star, both David’s spiritual root and his descendant.”  Jesus testified to these things.  As the spiritual Root of David, Jesus is divine.  As the descendant of David, He is human.  As the Lord of glory, Jesus is the bright Morning Star Who signals the end of night and the beginning of God’s perfect day.  As the Son of Man, He is the descendant of David.  Jesus is both human and divine, even in His eternal state.  The prophetic Word made sure announced the radiant Morning Star rising to unveil the Lord’s Day, “I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel”.  Jesus is our fulfilled reality today, may we walk in deep relationship with Him.  Amen!

God’s Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven

“Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭17‬:‭34‬ ‭KJV‬

They’re still doing it, still worshiping any old god that has nostalgic appeal to them. They don’t really worship God—they don’t take seriously what He says regarding how to behave and what to believe, what He revealed to the children of Jacob whom He named Israel.  God has created mankind with a free will.  We are free to love Him and we are free to ignore Him for He will never force His will on us.  The Almighty God has in fact humbled Himself to become like us through Jesus, so that we would become like Him.  When Jesus was born in the flesh, He left His Godhead to become the Son of Man.  Jesus taught us, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  When Jesus suffered at the garden of Gethsemane, He said, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”  He surrendered His free will to the Father’s will.  It is our choice to freely surrender our will to our Father’s will with the help of our Helper, the Holy Spirit.  Let’s choose to obey Him with no compulsion because we love Him.  Amen!

The Light of the Glory of God & the Lamb

“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV

The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb.  The New Jerusalem had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it; the Lamb is its lamp.  Isaiah had prophesied this hundreds of years before, “The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.”  God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all, that’s what Jesus said.  Today, in the new covenant, let’s be conscious of His light in us and through us, dispelling the darkness around us.  As the Church which will transition into the New Jerusalem, let’s be those that dispel darkness.  Amen!

Speak Life Not Death, Blessings Not Curses

“But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Ahaz was David’s descendant who turned away from God.  Instead he followed in the track of the kings of Israel. He even indulged in the outrageous practice of “passing his son through the fire”—a truly abominable act he picked up from the pagans God had earlier thrown out of the country. The Ammonites and Moabites, neighbours of the children of Israel, worshipped and sacrificed their children to appease Moloch, their god, in times of calamity.  Death and life is in the power of the tongue.  Our words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.  Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”  Parents use words to demoralize children because their expectations are extremely high for them.  In this generation when youngsters are being driven to suicide, let’s use words that bless, encourage, motivate and give life to our children rather than death words.  Let’s bless and not curse.  Amen!

The Reigning Priests of God & of His Christ

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Wonderfully blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death holds no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ. And they will reign as kings with Him a thousand years!  Oh the blessedness of this bliss, celebrated in the redeemed innocence of every single individual, discovering their inclusion in this first resurrection as their own - realising that the second death has no bearing on them whatsoever - they will continue in their priesthood unto God and Christ and they will co-reign with Him for a thousand years.  May we who believe in this promise await its fulfilment with delight as we continue growing in our intimate relationship with Him, our Wonderful Redeemer.  Hallelujah!

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life

“Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭15‬:‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But Jotham didn’t interfere with the traffic to the neighborhood sex-and-religion shrines; they continued, as popular as ever. The construction of the High Gate to the temple of God was his work.  God had made a covenant with the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt, “You shall make no covenant with the neighbouring nations, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”  Over the years, the children of Israel were caught in that snare of worshipping the surrounding nations’ gods and goddesses.  The decline in these nations was  evident and they had to face the consequences.  In the new covenant that Jesus Christ has made with humanity, the finished work of redemption in Christ is the ultimate and there are eternal consequences of rejecting this covenant.  Not secularism, nor humanism, nor any other ideology of mankind can bring salvation, only Jesus Christ can because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to God except through Him.  He is the I AM.  Amen!

Christ First Loved Us

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us rejoice and exalt Him and give Him glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come. And His bride has made herself ready.  This is the climax of the ages!  Celebrate His glory with ecstatic joy and extreme delight, for the wedding feast of the Lamb has come!  The day didn’t catch her by surprise, His bride has prepared herself appropriately!  She is ready and fully fit for the occasion.  The imagery of the wedding celebration of the Lamb reinforces and expresses the beautiful intimacy that Jesus shares with His beloved bride, and His bride loves Him.  May we seek to love Christ as He loves us and gave Himself for us, that He might sanctify and cleanse us with the washing of water by the word, that He might present us to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that we should be holy and without blemish.  Amen!

Seek God’s Word to do God’s Will

“He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath-hepher.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭14‬:‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But he did restore the borders of Israel to Lebo Hamath in the far north and to the Dead Sea in the south, matching what God, the God of Israel, had pronounced through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.  The prophet Jonah son of Amittai was active in Israel at the time and had forecast Jeroboam's successes.  This was seen as God's will, like other previous political events, according to the word of the LORD.  We know that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.  Let’s not look down on prophesies, but to test every spirit, according to the Word of the Lord and discern that it is the Lord speaking.  Let that be our experience that we recognise the Lord speaking to us.  Let’s seek Scripture with the intention of doing God’s will for without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Amen!

The Suffering of the Lamb of God dealt a Double Blow

“Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭18‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Angel declared the crushing of the great Babylon, “So repay to her double the same treatment that she has treated others with— pay her back double for all her deeds and make her drink twice the brew she gave to others!”  The Lamb’s suffering dealt a double blow to the whore and beast system.  The counterfeit cup she had mixed, turned on her and proved to be her defeat.  Their apparent initial victory in the brutal, unjust trial and crucifixion of the Lamb turned against their tyranny in double measure - not only were they outwitted in His death, when the document of mankind’s guilt in the scarred body of Jesus was nailed to the Cross, whereby every possible claim against the human race was nullified, but in His resurrection God presented the receipt documenting the justification and redeemed innocence and righteousness of the entire human race.  The judgment that sin brought in its hellish torment as the inevitable consequence upon mankind, is now atoned for in double proportions in the Lamb’s suffering and in the reversal brought upon all principalities and powers. Hallelujah!

The Anointed Church

“And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭13‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One day, some men were burying a man and spotted the raiders. They threw the man into Elisha’s tomb and got away. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came alive, stood up, and walked out on his own two feet.  The double portion on Elisha was so strong that even after Elisha’s death, a dead man came alive just by making contact with Elisha’s bones.  The Greater One has now come - Jesus the Anointed One.  Because He was raised from the dead, the anointing from the Anointed One, the Messiah has been brought to us by the Spirit of God.  Jesus has anointed us for the greater works He wants the Church to do.  In the new covenant we live our life empowered by God’s free-flowing grace, which is our  true strength, found in the anointing of Jesus and our union with Him.  Raising the dead is a part of the anointing the Lord Jesus Christ has given us by the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.  Let the Church be the powerhouse God wants us to be, to fulfill His purpose.  Amen!

The Gospel is the Power of God

“The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭17‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV

The wild beast you saw once was, now is not, and is destined to ascend out of the deep and go to destruction. All those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world will be utterly astonished when they see the wild beast because he once was, now is not, and is about to rise.  The brutal beast that John saw is a “has been” from the beginning - it indeed has no real existence - yet it seems to make a “come back” as if emerging out of the abyss, only to dissolve again into perdition.  Meanwhile the minds of those blinded by their earthbound perceptions, continue to be mesmerised by its apparent relevance.  They are  the ones whose identities are not based upon the Lamb’s Book of Life.  They do not yet see that their original identity was redeemed in the Lamb.  The Gospel is the power of God to salvation.  Amen!

The Sacred Blood of the Lamb of God

“And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king's house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Joash king of Judah countered by gathering up all the sacred memorials—gifts dedicated for holy use, along with the holy memorials he himself had received, plus all the gold that he could find and gave to Hazael.  Appeased, Hazael went on his way and didn’t bother Jerusalem.  Joash compromised with the sacred things of God for his safety, profaning that which was holy.  Eventually Joash’s own servants killed him.  In the new covenant, Jesus’s Blood is the most holy and sacred.  When the Messiah arrived, High Priest of the superior things of this new covenant, He came to the true Holy Place, bypassing the goat and calf blood sacrifices, instead using His own Blood as the price to set us free once and for all. The Blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out. Through the Spirit, Christ offered Himself as an unblemished Sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God.  Thank You Jesus!

God is Good Forever

“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭16‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The demonic spirits assembled the kings together at the place called in Hebrew the “Mount of the Governor.” The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out from the temple and from the throne, saying: “Here it comes!”  Armageddon can be viewed as a realm where both good and evil is gathered together.  The battle on God’s great day includes the war within the hearts of mankind.  The seventh celestial messenger poured his golden fire-pan into the atmosphere.  A loud voice came from the Throne in the inner shrine, and said, “It is irreversibly done!”  May we surrender to the goodness of God because the end of evil will happen as the Church is called to overcome evil with good.  That’s why we sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With our mouth we make known God’s goodness and faithfulness to all generations. Goodness and mercy shall be built up forever; God’s faithfulness He shall establish in the very heavens. Amen!

Live Violently, Die Violently

“And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal. And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king's house: and there was she slain.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬, ‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Athaliah was the mother of Ahaziah. When she saw that her son was dead, she took over. She began by massacring the entire royal family. So they dragged her out to the palace’s horse corral; there they killed her.  Those who come into power through violent means, will have a violent end to their life. Jesus said this when He was being arrested and one of His disciples pulled a dagger out to kill, “Put your dagger away. For all those who embrace violence will die by violence.” That is why we have the power of God’s love that overcomes every work of the enemy who works through our flesh.  Now the works of the flesh are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like.  For if we live according to the flesh we will die; but if by the Spirit we put to death the works of the flesh, we will live.  Thank God that Jesus, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil in our flesh, in the finished work of the Cross.  Hallelujah!

Overcoming by the Power of the Cross

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then John saw what looked like a vast sea of glass blended with fiery flames. Standing beside the sea were those who continually conquer the wild beast, his image and the number of his name.  All those who are one day victorious over the “beast” will learn to sing this eternal song of thanksgiving and praise.  The “beast” is our self-life as the psalmist told us, “I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You.”  We are called to overcome this beast through the life of Jesus within us.  As we overcome by the power of the Cross and receive the love of Christ for ourselves, we qualify as overcomers who sing the sacred song of Moses.  All that is of the beast must be laid aside as we take up the Christ nature and live in His strength.  He can change each of us from a beast to a lamb. Christ Himself will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.  Amen!

No Idols in Heaven

“And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them. And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day. Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭10‬:‭26‬-‭28 KJV

They hauled out the sacred phallic stone from the temple of Baal and pulverized it. They smashed the Baal altars and tore down the Baal temple. It’s been a public toilet ever since. And that’s the story of Jehu’s wasting of Baal in Israel.  The LORD had commanded, “‘Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am the Lord your God.”  Jehu obeyed the LORD.  We ourselves have turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God. In the age to come nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  Amen!

We’re Made in Christ’s Image & Likeness

“and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The smoke of their severe suffering ascends into ages upon ages. Those who worship the wild beast and its image and receive the mark of its name will have no rest day or night.  Those worshipping the counterfeit beast and its image, who receive its mark and name as their identity, will have nowhere to hide, day or night; the smoke that rises from their torment, will be for all ages.  The mindset of a counterfeit religious system has no future.  The message of the Cross is the touchstone that will forever bear testimony to the triumph of the Lamb.  Let’s be excited about our identity in Christ, made in His image and likeness, redeemed by His Blood.  Hallelujah!

God’s Word Will Never Pass Away

And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬-‭37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jehu said, “It’s God’s word, the word spoken by Elijah the Tishbite: In the field of Jezreel, dogs will eat Jezebel; The body of Jezebel will be like dog-droppings on the ground in Jezreel. Old friends and lovers will say, ‘I wonder, is this Jezebel?’  Elijah had prophesied the end of Jezebel’s wicked influence some years before she actually died.  Elijah had already been taken up by the LORD, when Jehu had Jezebel thrown down to her death.  When we prophesy God’s Word, we must be confident that it will come to pass, even though it may take some earthly time.  Let’s decree God’s Word in all our situations because as Jesus said “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”  Amen!

Wisdom to Understand God’s Word

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This will require wisdom to understand: Let the one with insight interpret the number of the wild beast, for it is humanity’s number —666. The numerical value of human life is 6 because man was created on the sixth day, it is not an incarnation of the devil.  The beast is equated to the nature of humanity because it came out of the ground from where man was created; and it is the sin of man that wars against our soul and prevents the image of Christ from emerging in fullness within believers.  Man made religion is a mindset dominated by knowing oneself and others according to the flesh - the trinity of sixes is the mark of the counterfeit trinity that is defeated in the unfolding of the Lamb’s triumph.  This counterfeit religious system of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet are thoroughly stripped of their influence and dominion and brought to nought as we continue in the later part of Revelation.  Let the eyes of our understanding be enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.  Amen!

God Prophesies through the Church Today

“And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept. And Hazael said, Why weepeth my Lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel…The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.” And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬, 13‬, ‭15 KJV

Elisha then stared hard at Hazael, reading his heart. Hazael felt exposed and dropped his eyes. Then the Holy Man wept. Hazael said, “Why does my master weep?” “Because,” said Elisha, “I know what you’re going to do to the children of Israel..God showed me, that you’ll be king of Aram.” But the very next day, he took a heavy quilt, soaked it in water, covered the king’s face, and suffocated him. Now Hazael was king.  Elisha the prophet gave the king of Syria, an enemy of Israel, a prophetic but terrible word.  God does not manipulate with prophecies, what He reveals to His people,  will happen, even if the receiver is an enemy.  Afterward I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.  Let the Holy Spirit prophesy through the Church.  Amen!

The Bride of Christ

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then an astonishing miracle-sign appeared in heaven. I saw a woman clothed with the brilliance of the sun, and the moon was under her feet. She was wearing on her head a victor’s crown of twelve stars.  Who is this young woman?  She looks like the dawn.  She is beautiful like the moon, pure like the sun, awe inspiring like those heavenly bodies.  The Church is figuratively spoken of as a woman.  The description of her “clothed with the sun” points to the victorious Church about to give birth to a company of believers who will do the great works of Jesus and spread the brilliance of His glory throughout the earth.  The overcoming Bride of Christ is seen as a woman “clothed with the sun”.  Solomon spoke prophetically in his Song, “Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon, Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?”  Prophetically spoken and fulfilled in the Bride of Christ.  Let’s be aware of what God has called us to do in Christ and as His Bride, through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Amen!

Faith not Fear

“And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭7‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬

So after the sun went down they got up and went to the camp of Aram. When they got to the edge of the camp, surprise! Not a man in the camp! The Master had made the army of Aram hear the sound of horses and a mighty army on the march. They told one another, “The king of Israel hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to attack us!” Panicked, they ran for their lives through the darkness, abandoning tents, horses, donkeys—the whole camp just as it was—running for dear life.  Elisha the prophet had prophesied the defeat of the Syrian army.  The entire army fled from fear.  Jesus said “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  Let’s not limit God with our fear levels, let’s believe God for the impossible with faith in Christ’s Blood. Amen‭‭!

The World Kingdoms become the Kingdom of our God & Christ

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV

Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and a loud voice broke forth in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our God and of his Anointed One! He will reign supreme for an eternity of eternities!”  The kingdom of this world are finance, culture and government, both religious and secular.  All bow before the Throne of the Lamb of God and become the Kingdom of our God and of His Christ.  Every national, geographical and historical identities - all salute the Lordship of the Lamb of God.   Are our eyes on the persecution and tribulation, or are they on the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world?  Let’s keep our eyes of faith on the King of kings and the LORD of lords, Who reigns forever and ever.  Amen!

Walk & Live in the Spirit

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬

He said, “Don’t worry about it—there are more on our side than on their side.” Then Elisha prayed, “O God, open his eyes and let him see.” The eyes of the young man were opened and he saw. A wonder! The whole mountainside full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha!  There is the whole spiritual realm around about us and for the lovers of Christ, every spiritual blessing in heavenly places is ours.  Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus our Lord, the mighty Holy Spirit has come to dwell in us.  So if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  For as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. Thank You Holy Spirit. Amen!

Pursuing the Promises of God

“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then I saw another extremely powerful messenger coming out of heaven, robed in a cloud. There was a halo over his head like a rainbow; his face shined bright like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire.  This super strong celestial messenger descends out of the heavenly realm clothed in a cloud, his head crowned in a rainbow, his face shining like the sun and his legs as pillars of fire.  The rainbow immediately reminds us of the promise of God to Noah, “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”  Jesus is the fulfilment of every promise.  Let’s learn to be steadfast in pursuing the promises of God, while we are on earth awaiting the Lord Jesus Christ.  For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.  Amen!

God has Chosen You to Worship Him

“And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Naaman, the general of the king of Aram’s army, then went back to the Holy Man, Elisha, he and his entourage, stood before him, and said, “I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no God anywhere on earth other than the God of Israel. In gratitude let me give you a gift.”  Naaman had not grown up in Israel where he had learned what Yahweh says, heaven’s Creator, Who alone is God. He created the earth, shaped it, and established it all by Himself. He made it fit and orderly and beautiful for its inhabitants.  *He says: “I Am Yahweh, and there is no other god.”*  God chooses even the gentiles to show His power.  Jesus said, “have you not considered that the prophet Elisha healed only Naaman, the Syrian, rather than one of the many Jewish lepers living in the land?”  It was a young servant maid who told Naaman’s wife about Elisha.  God chooses even the weak and the meek for His power to be manifest.  Let’s not be backward in allowing God to use us to manifest God’s power to a world desperate to know the true and living God.  Idols are nothing in this world, there is no other God but One.  Through Christ He has chosen you to worship Him.  Amen!
