“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.”
Revelation 15:2-3 KJV
As John was revealed, “Then I saw what looked like a vast sea of glass blended with fiery flames. Standing beside the sea were those who continually conquer the wild beast, his image and the number of his name. They each held the harps of God and they were singing the song of Moses, God’s servant, and the song of the Lamb: “Mighty and marvelous are Your miracles, Lord Yahweh, God Almighty! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign King of the ages!” All those who are one day victorious over the “beast” will learn to sing this eternal song of thanksgiving and praise. The “beast” is our self-life. We are called to overcome this beast through the life of Jesus within us. As we overcome by the power of the Cross and borrow the life of Christ for ourselves, we qualify as overcomers who sing the sacred song of Moses. All that is of the beast must be laid aside as we take up Christ’s nature and live in His strength. He can change each of us from a beast to a lamb. The song of Moses was sung in a victory celebration of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt; the song of the Lamb is sung in a victory celebration of believers who conquered the beast (the nature of man). Let’s conquer with the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of Christ’s testimony. Amen!
