“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

The famous Scripture on faith, “And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that He is real and that He rewards the faith of those who passionately seek Him.” There is no substitute reward for faith. Faith’s return exceeds any other sense of achievement. Faith knows that God is - those who respond to His invitation to draw near, realise by faith that He is life’s most Perfect Gift. If Christ is the Desired One then no substitute will suffice. Jesus Christ defines God’s faith, He is Immanuel. He is the substance and evidence of all that God believes. Jesus is what God believes. Jesus is our righteousness, revealed to us by faith. He is the Gift not a reward for keeping the law - faith pleases God, not good or bad behaviour. Let’s please God with faith in Christ, our Perfect Gift. Amen
