“Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.”

Peter explains the power of the Gospel God revealed through His prophets, that their ministry was not for their own benefit but for ours. And now, we have heard these things from the evangelists who preached the Gospel to us through the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—the Gospel containing wonderful mysteries that even the angels long to get a glimpse of. Angels behold the glory of God and marvel when men and women who see so little of the glory here on earth, remain steadfast for the Lord Jesus Christ and the Truth of the Holy Bible in times of darkness. These disciples are worthy to be called Christ’s brethren and the sons of the Father. True faith is dependence on the Lord Jesus and His Word and not on ourselves or the wisdom of this world. Jesus’s strength is made perfect in weakness. Such disciples carry the weight of God’s power and glory given to us by the mighty Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your Word and Your Holy Spirit given to us.
