“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; With favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:11-12 KJV
David sang this song as he trusted God to bring the blessings of the righteous to him, “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; With favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Joy is the serious business of heaven, said a famous author! Jesus Himself said, “Blessed, joyful, favored by God is he who does not take offense at Me, accepting Me as the Messiah and trusting confidently in My message of salvation.” Our trust is in Christ alone, because He personally took all my sins on the Cross and in exchange gave me His joy. Just as David sang his song with joy, today we do that because of the finished work of the Cross of Christ. Amen!
