“And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: he took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.”
Exodus 13:21-22 KJV
The Eternal One went on ahead to guide them during the day in a cloud shaped like a pillar; at night He appeared to them in a fire shaped like a pillar to light their way. So they were able to travel by day and by night. God’s people were familiar with the cloud! Whenever the cloud covered the tabernacle in the wilderness, the glory of the Lord appeared. When Peter, James and John were on the mount with Jesus, a cloud covered them and the disciples feared as they entered the cloud when Jesus was transfigured. After Jesus’s resurrection when He was to ascend, He was taken up and a cloud veiled Him from their sight. When He comes to take His Bride, we will be caught up in the clouds to meet Him in the air. When He comes again on earth, He will come in a cloud with great power and glory. Let’s walk in His glory in an intimate relationship with Christ! Maranatha!
