“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.”
Proverbs 25:21-22 KJV
How should we treat our enemies? The Bible is clear on how to do that and the Bible is the best selling book says The New Yorker....”The familiar observation that the Bible is the best-selling book of all time obscures a more startling fact: the Bible is the best-selling book of the year, every year.” https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2006/12/18/the-good-book-business.
That’s the only book that teaches us how to treat our enemies!
Jesus took this principle to an all time high...He forgave as He died & told us to love our enemies. When He rose again, we who were His enemies were reconciled to Him forever. The Cross takes enemity out of our lives even today.
Let’s do away with hate, negativity, bitterness, grudges, unforgiveness and any attitude that keeps us away from Jesus. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us pray for our enemies as Jesus did.
