“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”
Ephesians 4:1-2 KJV
Paul says that the fact is that he is in prison, but that does not in the least diminish his awareness of his being in-Christ! Paul is imprisoned in Christ, his complete existence is defined and confined in Christ. He is not asking for prayers to get him out of jail because he is jailed in Christ! Let the detail of our day-to-day life flow from the consciousness of our true identity and worth, as it is mirrored in Christ. Meekness and tenderness are the fabric of our make-up; this enables us to show compassion even in seemingly impossible situations, eagerly bearing with one another in an environment where love rules. Paul, though in prison, saw himself co-seated together with Christ in heavenly places. No distraction or contradiction can reduce his life to any other reality. Let’s walk in this reality, whatever our circumstances, and trust God! Thank You Father!
