“And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.”
Exodus 4:1 KJV
God had just told Moses that the Hebrews would heed him and with their elders, he would meet the Pharaoh. Moses instead, answered God, “But suppose they will not believe me….” Unfortunately, Moses’ unbelief made him not believe in God’s Word. The One Who sends us today in the new covenant, knows the end from the beginning and all His missions are well planned and worked out beforehand. In Christ, God’s super power is working in us. The Holy Spirit, Who is the Source of all miracles, lives in us. His proving power is in us through signs, wonders and miracles as we believe and obey Him. The Word from God’s mouth into ours and spoken through us carries God’s authority to accomplish His work. This is the prophetic Word power spoken through our mouth which produces faith in people’s heart. Paul, when he stood before king Agrippa, told him that he was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Let our response to our God not be ‘but’ or ‘suppose’, but that we would be obedient to His call. Amen!
