”If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: but if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.“
James 2:8-9 KJV
Your calling is to fulfill the royal law of love as given to us in this Scripture: “You must love and value your neighbor as you love and value yourself!” For keeping this law is the noble way to live. But when you show prejudice, you commit sin and you violate this royal law of love! It is a royal law because it is given by our King, but since He has made us kings and priests, it becomes the royal law of love given to His royal sons and daughters who are heirs with Him. Scripture confirms that the law of the Kingdom of God Is fulfilled in us realising the same value in our neighbour as we see in ourself; this is what doing the Word is all about! To judge anyone on outward appearance is a sin. This violates the law of liberty and revives condemnation and guilt. Let’s not forget what manner of person we are, mirroring Christ’s image through us. That way, we will not forget what manner of person our neighbour is, for whom Christ shed His Blood, to restore Christ’s image in him. Amen!
