The Church’s Non-stop Intercession

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Isaiah prophesied, “Jerusalem, I have stationed intercessors on your walls who will never be silent, day or night. You “reminders” of YAHWEH, take no rest,”. Because of Christ’s finished work on the Cross and us believers being in the new covenant, we take our responsibility seriously to intercede continually to remind God of His promises.  Like divine administrators, we remind God of the promises and appointments He must keep.  In the old covenant there were many priests who were prevented by death from continuing. But Christ, our Great High Priest continues forever, because He has an unchangeable Priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And He Who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.  Amen!
