Grace Disarms Karma

“Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

‭‭John‬ ‭9:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

John records when Jesus’s disciples asked Jesus if the blind man had sinned or his parents, and that’s why he was punished by being blind from birth, Jesus answered emphatically, “His condition has absolutely nothing to do with any sins committed either by himself or his parents!  Neither he nor his parents were guilty of sin, this is an opportunity for God’s action to be unveiled in him!  We together, must occupy ourselves to accomplish the work of Him Who sent Me - you must take sides with me!”  Jesus absolutely disarms the karma principle that religion hinges on, which is, that intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).  Jesus explains that we cannot pull in two opposite directions in the same team!  Grace and karma do not go hand in hand!  Let’s believe that disease, sickness and disorder came through sin and Jesus is the only One Who has given a death blow to this on the Cross because of His grace.  Let’s bow before Him Who is worthy of all glory!
