“And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.”
Isaiah 17:5-6 KJV
Isaiah prophesied that it will be as when a farmer harvests the standing grain and gathers armloads of grain, and as one gathers ears of grain in the valley of Giants. Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is shaken, leaving two or three olives in the highest branches and four or five on its fruitful branches, declares Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel. Jesus’s life within us will soon reap a harvest of glory. Armloads (sons and daughters of power) of grain (spiritual harvest) will be seen in coming days through mighty men and women. Farmers had to leave some fruit behind for the needs of the poor and the stranger to glean. Today, for our any need, two or three are sufficient when we gather in agreement. The highest branches point to our glorious resurrection life in the spiritual realm of bringing heaven on earth, because of the Blood sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!
