“and he cried, A lion: My Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:”
Isaiah 21:8 KJV
Isaiah saw prophetically that God tells him to post a watchman/sentry who cries out, “a Lion!” This is the Lion of Judah Who was qualified to open the seals of the book in heaven and avert disaster. The watchman cries out, “I continually stand on this watch-tower day after day for You, O Lord. I’m stationed at my post throughout the night..”. The ministry in the New Testament of a watchman is an intercessor. It is vital that every church and every city has intercessors to stand on their post day after day. The Lord Jesus has given a crucial importance to this ministry as our High Priest Who is able also to save us to the uttermost that come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for us. So our priority is that we pray at all times. Thank You, Lord Jesus!
