Bless Those Who Wringfully Accuse You

“Thou hast sent widows away empty, And the arms of the fatherless have been broken. Therefore snares are round about thee, And sudden fear troubleth thee;”

‭‭Job‬ ‭22‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now comes Eliphaz the Temanite to accuse Job once again, “You turned poor widows away from your door; heartless, you crushed orphans. Now you’re the one trapped in terror, paralyzed by fear”.  Job is amazed that those he calls his friends should so wrongfully accuse and revile him.  What does one do when you are reviled?  Now consider Jesus, for Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.  May we follow Jesus in all our behaviour and attitude.  Amen!
