“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

Paul quoting from Isaiah and Nahum, talks about good news carriers or Gospel givers, “And how can the message be proclaimed if messengers have yet to be sent? That’s why the Scriptures say: How welcome is the arrival of those proclaiming the joyful news of peace and of good things to come!” What gives someone the urgency to declare these things - How lovely on the mountains, where the watchmen were stationed to witness the outcome of war, are the feet of them leaping with the exciting news of victory! Christ has soundly defeated satan, for He has destroyed all the works of the enemy. For us who have the eyewitness encounter of Christ’s victory in our lives, we are qualified to run with the Gospel of peace, and announce the consequent glad tidings of good things that will benefit everyone. Let’s run victoriously with the Gospel. Amen!
