Trees of Righteousness

“I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:19‬ ‭KJV

Isaiah prophesies God’s promised help to Israel.  God will plant in the treeless desert cedars and achaia, myrtle and olive trees.  God will set in the wilderness evergreens, together with many elm and cypress.  Achaia wood was used extensively in the tabernacle and was used to form the ark of the covenant.  The Hebrew for myrtle is Hadassah, Esther’s Jewish name.  The trees of oil symbolises the Holy Spirit and the rest of the evergreen trees.  These seven trees speak of fullness of new creation life and can be compared to the seven branches of the lampstand and the seven Spirits of God.  This only the Lord can do out of His passion for mankind that through the sacrifice of Christ we who were in the wilderness have as a new creation become evergreen by the Holy Spirit.  We are now the trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Hallelujah!
