“For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.”
Deuteronomy 18:14 KJV
God warns all believers in Christ to not follow the practices of unbelievers. As the Israelites entered the promised land, they were not to practice what the Canaanites did. Even today, we as believers in Christ, are forbidden divination, sorcery, fortune telling, witchcraft and the like. God alone is the Revealer of every secret for His people, not to tolerate demon spirits communicating with His people or people consulting the spirits of the dead. Life in Christ is not ignorant of the ever increasing occult powers in the world today. Let’s discern and not tolerate anything that comes from evil. Jesus Himself said that in the last days many deceivers, false prophets and Christs will arise, deceiving even believers in Christ as many depart from their faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. As believers in Christ, let’s test all spirits, stay in the Spirit, operate in discerning of spirits, keep looking at Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. God calls all believers in Christ, to aggressively eradicate all evil; to submit to God, resist the devil to flee from us. Let’s declare and decree the victory in Christ. Amen!
