A prophetic psalm of King David, “Your people will be Your love offerings. In the day of Your mighty power You will be exalted, and in the brightness of Your holy ones You will shine as an army arising from the womb of the dawn, anointed with the dew of Your youth! Yahweh has taken a solemn oath and will never back away from it, saying, “You are a Priest for eternity, after the manner of Melchizedek!” David spoke prophetically of the Messiah and of all God’s chosen people who are in Christ! These promises are our inheritance as we follow after our High Priest of the order of Melchizedek! Because we are in Christ, we are anointed with the dew of Christ’s youth, and decay has nothing on us in this eternal life we have in Christ. The brightness of Christ’s glory is on us, the beauty of His holiness is on us! Our High Priest offered Himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then He sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand. He alone is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. That is where we are, all God’s chosen people - redeemed by the Blood, forgiven, baptised, saved and sanctified - at the right hand of our Father. Hallelujah!
