“Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, That delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.”
Psalm 112:1-2 KJV
Though unknown, the authorship of this psalm is attributed to David, “Shout in celebration of praise to the Lord! Everyone who loves the Lord and delights in Him will cherish His words and be blessed beyond expectation. Their descendants will be prosperous and influential. Every generation of the righteous will experience His favour.” The celebration of praise to the Lord Jesus is not connected to a time in the calendar year, but is at every moment of life. As Paul the apostle exhorted us to be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let our joy overflow! We experience every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ, as promised to us, when we spend sacred time with Him, loving, adoring and delighting in Him. We will be those who prosper and become people of influence and favour, which will overflow into the generations that follow us - our descendants and those that follow them. We who are in Christ, never doubt God’s mighty power working in us and accomplishing all this. He will achieve infinitely more than our greatest request, our most unbelievable dream, and exceed our wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes us. That’s why we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!
