“And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.”
Revelation 21:21 -22 KJV
As John saw, “The twelve gates are twelve pearls—each gate made of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, clear as crystal. I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb.” The city has one street and each of the twelve gates are one giant pearl. The street is pure gold, pure as glass - it is the highway of holiness, as Isaiah prophesied. “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.” The whole city is the holy temple of God. This is why Almighty God came in the flesh so that He would dwell with and in His people. We, who have Christ in us, on this planet earth, are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and as we grow in our union with God, we, the redeemed innocent, shall dwell before the Throne of God and of the Lamb, forever.
