“But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
Matthew 6:23-24 KJV
As Matthew recorded, “But if your eyes are focused on money, the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place. How profound will be the darkness within you if the light of truth cannot enter! “How could you worship two gods at the same time? You will have to hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t worship the true God while enslaved to the god of money!” The entrance of God’s Word into our hearts brings revelation light. So if our eye has been made healthy by the Word of God, the whole body will become full of light. The love of money is darkness. The Word is truth and the darkness is lies. The world is full of darkness and if you do not fast from the world, you will never discover the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of Light. May we be made strong with all the strength which comes from God’s glorious power, so that we may be able to endure everything with patience. May we with joy give thanks to the Father, Who has made us fit to have our share of what God has reserved for His people in the Kingdom of Light. Amen!
