Humbly Worshipping our Gracious Lord Jesus Christ

“Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭116‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This psalm is traditionally attributed to king David, “He was so kind, so gracious to me. Because of His passion toward me, He made everything right and He restored me. So I’ve learned from my experience that God protects the vulnerable. For I was broken and brought low, but He answered me and came to my rescue! Now I can say to myself and to all, “Relax and rest, be confident and serene, for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in Him.”  David’s experience was of a loving and merciful God Who was kind and gracious to him.  Because of God’s passion for him, David humbly worshipped God with psalms and songs.  Christ’s finished work on the Cross enables us to experience God’s love personally for us.  Paul advised us who are in Christ that our hearts overflow with a joyful song to the Lord; to keep speaking to each other with words of Scripture, singing the Psalms with praises and spontaneous songs given by the Spirit.   God wants to let the word of Christ live in us richly, flooding us with all wisdom. Let’s apply the Scriptures as we teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to us spontaneously by the Spirit, and let’s sing to God with all our hearts. Let this be our experience of our gracious God.  Amen!
