Shout Out Praises to Our Lord Jesus

“O praise the LORD, All ye nations: Praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: And the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭117‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This psalm was sung in the temple worship and is the shortest psalm and chapter in the whole Bible, in fact it is exactly in the middle of it! “Let everyone everywhere shine with praise to Yahweh! Let it all out! Go ahead and praise Him! For He has conquered us with His great love, and His kindness has melted our hearts. His faithfulness lasts forever, and He will never fail you. So go ahead, let it all out! Praise Yah! O Yah!”  The base word for praise here is “shine”.  The Name Yah is not an abbreviation of Yahweh but is the Name of God as He displays His power.  We are called, as people of God, to remember God’s loving kindness, mercy and faithfulness personally to us and with inspiration from the Holy Spirit praise Him.  The Cross is how Jesus has conquered us with His love and we are not satisfied with polite praise.  Indeed we want to shout it all out.  Hallelujah!
