Seek God’s Word to do God’s Will

“He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath-hepher.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭14‬:‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But he did restore the borders of Israel to Lebo Hamath in the far north and to the Dead Sea in the south, matching what God, the God of Israel, had pronounced through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.  The prophet Jonah son of Amittai was active in Israel at the time and had forecast Jeroboam's successes.  This was seen as God's will, like other previous political events, according to the word of the LORD.  We know that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.  Let’s not look down on prophesies, but to test every spirit, according to the Word of the Lord and discern that it is the Lord speaking.  Let that be our experience that we recognise the Lord speaking to us.  Let’s seek Scripture with the intention of doing God’s will for without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Amen!
