“With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”
Numbers 12:8 KJV
God heard the accusations of Miriam and Aaron against their brother Moses. God came down in a pillar of cloud to defend His servant, and rebuked Miriam and Aaron sharply for criticising Moses who had been anointed by God above them. They should dread to speak against Moses. The greater the anointing, the greater the danger if you speak against it. In Christ, we are called to bless and speak good of others. In the new covenant, we are the priestly praise-tribe! We are called to talk high of God and high of His servants. We are called to protect the Lord’s anointed against any attack. We are called to defend God’s servants. God wants us to intercede for His servants and bless them with our tongue. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from us, with all malice. Amen!
