“and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.”
Luke 7:38 KJV
Broken and weeping, she covered His feet with the tears that fell from her face. She kept crying and drying His feet with her long hair. Over and over she kissed Jesus’ feet. Then, as an act of worship, she opened her flask and anointed His feet with her costly perfume. The woman poured tears and worship at Jesus’s feet, a heart filled with gratitude towards God for accepting her with agapé and received a transformed heart in exchange. As Isaiah said about the coming Christ, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of Him Who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Christ, our wonderful Saviour. Hallelujah!
