“And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.”
Numbers 17:8 KJV
God had called the Levites, and Aaron and his family, anointing them to minister to Him and His people. God is jealous to guard and defend His anointed and here He confirmed His calling on Aaron by making the almond rod to bud and bear fruit. In Christ we know that we didn’t choose Him but He selected us. Christ confirms our calling and attests our ministry with accompanying signs. Christ confirms our message of the glorious Gospel which is the power of God to salvation. Christ confirms our leadership and He is the One Who exalts us in the sight of all that they may know God is with us and as we preach the Gospel, He confirms His Word through us with accompanying signs. Hallelujah!
