“But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!”

Jesus says, “But first I must be immersed into the baptism of God’s judgment, and I am consumed with passion as I await its fulfillment.” Jesus was drawing closer to His time of experiencing God’s judgment for our sins on the Cross. It is a “baptism” of judgment that we deserved. It is His grace that God has made Jesus to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. Amen!
